Called my steel supplier this morning, and he's got some of what I need in stock. So, I am headed there in the morning. What he has will hold me over until he gets the rest of it in stock.

Why? I know I'm still enjoying it. I'm looking forward to the getting it back together to get started.

If your not enjoying his hard work and excellent photos, don't look, go somewhere else. I know I look forward to following his progress and how he finds issues at each step of the rebuild.

Thanks for all the posts, everyone.

I went to pickup the steel this morning. Went in, and the guy walks over to his steel rack, and looks, and looks, and looks, and looks.

By this time, he has a strange look on his face, and I am thinking, this is probably not good.

We walk into his office, and he says.... I am not sure if I ordered the wrong steel, or if they sent me the wrong steel.

Peering into the abyss of the computer screen, he finally says. ah.... I ordered the wrong steel. He figured a few weeks ago, he would get some extra in, but ordered wrong.

So, no steel today.

He said he will order what I need, and hopefully will be in later this week.

In the meantime, I'll work on other stuff. Not like I don't have anything else to do.....

So, back to screw and trim removal.

In this pic, after I removed the trim, you can see by the yellow and green arrows, that there is a difference in the color of the gunk on the back side of the trim.

The stuff on the right is darker, and the stuff on the left is lighter.

Notice that the screws in the door frame are still in there, and, note the area on the driveway inside the red circle. It's dry.

Here is a closer view of what I saw under the trim, with the stuff under the right arrow, dark and wet.

Under the green, it's fairly dry. More on that in a minute.

Note the yellow arrow. The screws from the door frame have been removed. You can clearly see the rust from the underside of the screws.

After the removing of the door screws, the driveway is now wet.

Well, that is probably not good, I am thinking. Upon closer examination, water is now leaking from those screw holes and running down from the door frame.

I figure this can't end well.
