Moving a little farther to the rear, we have this shot.
The 2 green arrows are pointing to 2 new studs. There were none there originally, as that area was just blue board insulation glued between plywood and paneling.
That area is where the refrigerator was, (next to the door), and then the furnace, with a storage cabinet above it.
If you look a little farther right, you will see a red line. Just to the right of that, is where there was a stud originally. You can see some of the plywood still stuck to the fiberglass, where the stud was.
The yellow arrows point to the stud that was next to the red line. It was in good shape, so I decided to re-use it.
I moved it over to line up with being on 2' centers, along with the new studs.
The window there has steel surrounding it, and the 2 pieces running horizontally, above and below the window, ran all the way to where the stud was - (red line).
So, I cut them off so I could move the stud to its current location.
If you want to do something, you will find a way.
If you don't, you will find an excuse.

And moving to the rear on that side, is the window, which used to be along the side of the bed.
If things look a little crooked, it's just the camera angle.
The window, surrounded by green, will most likely stay about where it is, or will be replaced by another one of similar size. Not sure yet. Either way, there will be a window at that approximate spot.
The yellow lines, indicate where I need to weld in some studs yet. The one towards the right should just pass the window, and still be on a 2' center with the rest of the studs.
The 2 above and below the window, are just fill in studs to keep 2' centers along the wall.
Those studs should line up with the 2' center floor joists.

And this pic is just for wishful thinking.
At this point, I have no plans on doing this, but it may not be out of the question, either. Don't know yet.
The rear of this rv is tapered, as you know. The distance between the red arrows, is about 16".
At the top where the stud is welded to the ceiling, there is only about 1" between the new stud, and the original, which is on a slant.
The yellow lines indicate all that extra space available, (over a foot at the top), if I was to straighten the rear cap, from the red arrow section, to the roof.
Again, at this point, I have no plans of doing this, but haven't ruled it out either.

Then again, the back end would look like this....... Lol...

Ever have one of those experiences, when you are working in a pair of sweatpants or swimming trunks, and said pants decide, when both of your hands are fully occupied, that it's time to go south for the winter?
Yea, me neither...... Lol.
Hey, ya gotta have a little humor, now and then...

Didn't get to spend as much time in the motor home today. I did however, get to do some cutting, grinding, and welding.
I also forgot to take a picture. Will get one tomorrow.
However, in the pic below, the items in red are the pieces that I cut out. They needed to be removed, so I could weld in the full length stud at the back.

And then I welded in the new stud in this position.

Will try to get a little more done tomorrow, and take a couple of pictures.

Here is the pic that I didn't have last night.
The yellow arrow points to the new stud at the back on the passengers side. The camera makes it look like the 2 studs are crooked, but, they are not. They are straight.

Here is the inside of the generator door.
The 3 yellow arrows point to an area where there was steel studding, that I removed. I also replaced it with osb.
Don't get excited, that is not permanent. This is a temporary situation because I needed something to attach the top of the generator door frame to, so I could keep the door in place temporarily.
The bottom 2 red arrows, also point to an area where there was also a steel frame, which I also removed. This also was replaced for the same reason. Just to attach the gen door frame to temporarily.
More on that bottom piece of steel I removed in a minute.

This is the piece of steel that was below the floor line I was talking about a minute ago.
I cut this off and laid it down on the driveway, and noticed an abundance of holes on the outside of the steel.
The number of holes was way greater than the holes in the gen door frame. I don't have a clue why there were so many holes there.
Every red circle had at least one hole inside it, some had 2.

So then, I flipped it over to look at the bottom of the steel.
WHOA! I was impressed. Good thing I cut this out, and was not planning on re-using it.

And now for a little closer look at part of that steel. Maybe I should say lack of steel. Lol.
