2 in stock in Fairfield, CA should be close enough.

Here's an old article talking about the start of Outdoors RV. Looks like they exceeded expectations...

Thanks for the replies.
Normal Dave - Thanks! They must have just got them in as I in Fairfield on the Memorial Day weekend.
Yillb - I'll check out Cruiser RV. Thank you!
TurnthePage - the dealer I bought it from didn't offer a 2nd factory warranty. Not sure if it would have helped as they say it was a maintenance issue... I did have an extended warranty from XtraRide (Protective Asset Protection). It is kind of worthless. I never buy extended warranty on anything but made an exception for the lance. It doesn't cover water damage... It is refundable and I've asked for a refund on my remaining balance.
I would like to hear feedback on Grand Design. It looks to be well built and nice features, but the nearest dealer is 2+ hours away from me (Santa Rosa and Sacramento).

Clockman wrote: Wrong! Lances' come with a Two year warranty...THe second year covering structure....That's what you had a structure leak I have to agree with this. Appears to be structural - see this link from Lance regarding the 2 year structural warranty. Click on Trailer Warranty in the menu.
It states in part:Lance Structural Warranty wrote: This warranty does not cover damage caused by or related to (1) normal wear and tear, (2) accidents, abuse, misuse or negligence, (3) failure to comply with instructions contained in the Owner’s Manual, (4) any alteration or modification of the Trailer, or (5) environmental conditions, including, but not limited to, road salt, hail, or windstorm. Nor does this warranty apply to parts made out of cloth, leather, wood, paint, or chrome, which have been affected by airborne fallout, including, but not limited to, chemicals and tree sap.
Now, look in your owners manual (RE: #3) and tell us if there is a part in there about doing maintenance to the AC gasket. I'm guessing there isn't.
Come on OP - don't take this lying down - the person at Lance who told you that is in serious CYA mode (Cover Your A$$).
Lance is featured in the recent Trailer Life magazine - came yesterday. You should work through them - if not Lance themselves, to get this resolved. I just hate to see someone bamboozeded like this.
Well - what are you going to do now?

Clockman and 2012Coleman - I haven't given up on Lance making this right. For the past serval months I've been sorting out repairs, getting a response from Lance, and working through insurance. It is all related and when one thing runs long, it effects what I do. I want to hold off on taking this issue to social media but it may be Lance's preferred way to communicate... I appreciate the heads up on the Trailer Life magazine. May buddy suggested a similar course of action.

Maybe his insurance company totaled it out, we camped next to a couple who told us a story similar to this one and his insurance totaled theirs out due too mold issues!

Well OP, I still think the Lance is the cat's meow of most travel trailers. But if I was choosing another brand in the categories you're talking about, Grand Design would probably be my first choice. I would also look closely at Jayco, and especially at Highland Ridge RV Ultra Lights.

As much as I gripe about my 2009 Lance 1880, I am already looking forward to buying another in 5 years or so. The Northwoods products are the best built trailers outside of airstream and a few niche brands as far as I'm concerned. But they are heavy and tall. Lance has the lightweight 4 season market down.
I'm also fully convinced the minor issues I've had with my Lance are true of all manufacturers. My old Lance legend 990 truck camper had its fair share of minor issues as well. Then again, so did the hi-lo and casita.

I'm looking at a Highland Ridge Open Range Ultra Lite, they look like quality units.
