Still No Decision From Monster Energy

I read this twice. Talking in circles at its finest. Hey Monster, can we take that as a 'NO'?

I vote for Hooters. In Alan's memory of course.

Looks pretty clear as a ‘maybe’ to me.

They like the increased visibility, but probably have not seem an increase in sales to match th cost of the sponsorship.

My guess would be that inside the company there are high up people with arguments for continuing and another group against continuing. The company is keeping its options open as long as possible.

NASCAR should be hunting for a new title sponsor in my opinion.

Just a guess but my view is that NASCAR will announce a new title sponsor in a couple months, and Monster will whine that they were not given enough time to make a proper decision, despite multiple extensions of the contracted deadline.

'Maybe' is an optimistic point of view. Of course, everything is so secretive with sponsorship agreements and NASCAR. But, the sponsorship talks between NASCAR and Miller Coors, resulting in the termination of that relationship might be a window into the Monster/NASCAR situation. Perhaps Monster is looking for a lower number for THIS season in return for committing to anything beyond 2018.

But I do agree, NASCAR should be beating the bushes for a new series sponsor, because this relationship appears to be less than solid.

Look at the upside, we will be the last to know. We won't lose any money on this deal, AND we might be forced to find a better way to spend our time. After all, my friend is building a new racetrack in Vado New Mexico (on I-10).

Yeah, Vado Speedway Park is going to be a first class clay track. It's on state land, with long-term lease. These guys have experience promoting special big-purse events, like World of Outlaw Sprints and Mod Stocks.
BTW just a few miles down the interstate is a nice RV Park plus a Camping World store.

Danica Has A Daytona Ride

Now all that's left is surviving qualifying run and one Duel.

What a waste of a decent car and very good crew chief.
