Yeah Truex was "very careful" when Busch went around him and sucked the paint off his car with 18 to go. lol Making up 12 seconds with 25 to go!

Now boys, that was a controlled pass. The 78 owed him one and the 18 knew it. Glad to see him win, his luck this season has been terrible.

WAIT! What, all of a sudden all is well with NASCAR nation!! Did the word get out,....that Kyle Busch was going to win, and the fans packed the grandstands? Was it Joe Gibbs the one who leaned on Brian? Did Mars and Murrie bring back the Peanut M&M? Did Adam Stevens get it right, or what? OR, did all the holes line up in the swiss cheese?
Well, IMO the show was great, my man won. We know he's a great driver, but this time he had a winning car and a winning team. "It takes a village", and lots of money. And, I wish him all of it, for the Championship.

Did I mention that the quality of racing is still not what I like to see? But, gotta keep in mind that it's NASCAR racing. However, the IndyCar and F1 shows did not produce good racing either.

Anyone notice that NBC used a lot more of Dale Jarrett and a lot less of Jeff Burton in Sunday's broadcast?

My opinion...good move and a welcome change.
My opinion... the championship will be decided between the 18 and the 78.

No, I said currently he is the best driver out there. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have the best crew chief, nor are he and his crew chief the smartest on race strategy.

This week the team didn't make any stupid mistakes. Well only one with the loose lug nut on the final pit stop. So a fine and maybe losing a few points won't hurt.

The desperation watch now goes to Logano. I don't see him getting in a position to win before the playoff starts this year. Well, maybe at Michigan.

Was there a race yesterday? [emoticon] When the schedule said 'Snorecono' again I knew that was a throw away. I did read the 18 & 78 were on the front row....again. Also read 17 lead changes among 9 drivers. Have to ask, does that count the lead changes resulting from pit stop cycles? In other words, were it not for pit stops and cautions, many of the shows would feature no racing at all. You're right Cloud and try as I might I have never had the holes on the swiss cheese line up.

Paw, it was me who said he is a great driver. The fact that he hasn't won a championship in IndyCar and in Formula One only means that the world will never consider him a great driver. IMO the opportunity to do what Mario Andretti did will never again exist.

I agree that no one will have the opportunity again.

I was very pleased to see F-1 allow Alonso to run the Indy 500 this year and disappointed that Joe Gibbs firmly ruled out an Indy 500 attempt for Kyle.

This past Sunday I watched Kyle's pit stops. His jackman appears to be anticipating when the tire changers are going to be finished and dropping the jack so that the tire changer will just finish the last lug nut as the car hits the ground. It does not appear to me that he is waiting for a signal from the jackman that the lug nuts are tight. It might be saving a tenth or two of a second, but that ensures that the tire changer has no opportunity to hit a questionable lug nut again.

They don't care if they only get 4 tight. It only matters on the last pit stop and even then they don't care because it's only a fine and no points. This goes for all teams.

For a rare time, I have to give FRANCECAR an atta-boy. Qualifying and the race the same day. Worked well, but they have to change the starting times dictated by the networks. Fortunate that there were no afternoon thunder boomers at the former water cress farm.
