Topic: Nascar Follies

Yep, NASCAR is the greatest alright. AND, the best driver had a team that performed flawlessly,....to say nothing about all the money that his sponsors spent in order to see what we saw Monday. The Winning formula is right there in front of everyone to see.

We were at Bristol and I'll say that was as miserable as I've been at a racetrack. I finally gave it up and went to the RV and watched on TV. The rain and sleet in my face kinda ruined it and Kyle Busch winning didn't help. LOL
I'm wondering if Larson will move Busch tonight given half a chance.
Good race last night with open wheel dirt tracker Christopher Bell winning, even if he was driving a Toyota. He held off Sadler and his team mate. I assume Sadler was more interested in the $100,000 bonus than winning. I had all the clothes on that I brought with me and still froze my posterior off.

Yeah, I thought Bowyer or Harvick had a shot at it.
Hate doesn't quite describe it.

Most of the jerks mature by the time they get to Kyle B's age. Denny is the same way, but they are darn good drivers and it isn't a popularity contest.

I’ll never be a fan of Kyle, but there is absolutely no doubt that he is one of the all-time great drivers. The boy can wheel a car. And he is learning how to not wear out his car in the first half of the race.

He fought hard for last nights win.

I also like how he has adapted his post race salute to fans.

As Dale Earnhardt supposedly said “it doesn’t matter if they boo you or cheer you. At least they know your name.”

Saw Kyle and Dale Jr on Jrs show on NASCAR America. Kyle came across as a pretty decent guy. Still have to have him on my guy to lose list. [emoticon]

Love him or not, Kyle is just Tony Stewart without the belly. Loves to win, hates to lose, will race anything anytime, any where. He's passionate about what he does, and he's grown up since his debut with Hendrick. His sponsors love him, Joe Gibbs loves him, he wins races.

Kyle came into cup racing as a 19 yr old kid, how would most of us handled his situation at that age. He did a fairly good job driving for Hendrick but when Dale Jr became available somebody had to leave. That somebody was Kyle Busch, but Joe Gibbs saw the potential and that was a very good choice for both of them. There are still some haters out there but Kyles fan base is increasing every week and that is good for him but more importantly also good for Nascar.
