Thats why I cary a $100 deductible on my comprehensive coverage for my insurance. Call your insurance, get it fixed right and move on. Using your comp coverage should have zero effect on your rates.

billyray50 wrote: Sorry to hear about this. I previously owned a 2012 Adventurer 86 FB. Now recently purchased 2014 Adventurer 910 DB. Both campers the Ladder is mounted on the other side. Entry door opens away from ladder. My 2012 86 FB had some minor issues and Adventurer warranty and customer service addressed them all extremely fast. All work was approved locally here in Dallas too. I had a couple of minor issues with new Adventurer and Brad at Adventurer replied to me within 24 hours on two occasions in last 6 weeks of ownership. Customer service was one of the reasons I purchased an Adventurer again. Have you actually spoke to Brad?. As far as quality of build Adventurer is right up there and I have owned Lance and palomino TCs before. Adventurer in my opinion is built better than my 2016 Jayco White hawk TT which I have had some minor issues with too in the last year. All brands have issues. Adventurer should offer to fix the door or reimburse you.
I must correct myself with regards to my previous 2012 Adventurer 86 FB. After looking at pictures that year model the Ladder was on the side that the door opened up.

Unfortunately my first hand experience with Adventurer suggests they are great throughout the sales process and then you fall off their grid when it comes to after sales service/support.
I respectfully disagree with your statement regarding Adventurer service/support. You had posted last Feb. 2016 That you have own 2 Adventurers and love their floor plan with having no issues at all. What changed?
billyray50. You can respectfully disagree all you want based on YOUR personal experience but you certainly can not change how I feel about MY personal experience. You misread and misinterpreted what I previously wrote. As a refresher, here are the exact words I wrote ...
"We've owned our Adventurer for 2 years now and love the floor plan. No issues at all with it."
First, I did not say we've owned 2 Adventurers. We've owned 1 Adventurer TC for 2 years (now 2.5 years).
Second, my original feelings hold true. We still love the floor plan and have not had a major issue with the unit. It was the lack of responsiveness and action on other items that I had requested of the G.M. of the local Adventurer dealership that prompted my recent comments above.
However and again, based on my personal experience, AMLRV's after the sale responsiveness is sub-standard. There is no contradiction between what I said before and what I am saying now. Two different topics i.e. product (above average) vs. service (not very responsive).

Adventurer has always been good to me, responding to emails and phone calls promptly. Didn't have to use the warranty so no comment there.

So you had problems with the local independent dealer or AMLRV directly?

Those hinge binders never stay forever tight neither. I need a door locked all the way back so I can climb up the ladder from the camper door and doesn't act like a wind scoop. They ordered the wrong doors for the build is plain. Some posters are negative thinking IMHO, by way of a honky dorie nature when it should be corrected by recall.
I had more respect for you when you called me out specifically in this post BEFORE you edited it. It's ok, I have thick skin. All good, i'm sure it's hard being right all the time and balance PC.

It's cool, just wanted to tone down, make it more general since I've seen other problems by manufacturers that were addressed with positive bias in favor of the maker. I always question design and how things are put together.

I'm sorry... way off thread and I know I'm going to catch Hell here but I got some real fast advice...speakers on the side of the TC?? WHY??, Are you kidding me??? OH.. man this post is going nuke....OK, do the speakers have anything behind them to prevent water intrusion? You need to take the grills off and tell me there is something behind those speakers to trap any water if the speaker(S) fail... Your going to get delamination ..about 99.999% sure if you have just the speaker there...WOW! Ok trying to save the world here. Outdoor speakers are the worst design idea ever!! If they leak, your builder will tell you to take it up with the speaker people...not their bad design idea...and they will not fix your delamination and dry rot from it...and it will be 5 years from now...way beyond, protect yourself now. Worst idea ever! THE SKY IS FALLING!! The Lance door is the same issue, it is wrong from the beginning IMHO. I wonder how many use what they build..mmm???. If they did would we even be having this discussion?
