With all due respect...but seriously??
Anybody with some common sense mechanical experience should know that friction fit doors and any friction fit hinge type of product is really inherently unreliable. It tends to work for a little while, but then needs adjusting and tightening.
In other words, it's advertising BS. Plain and simple, it's a feature of dubious merit.
Common sense would be to secure your door in high winds with some bungee cords or something. The rubber stop was probably a slight manufacturer oversight. **** happens in the RV world.
Adventurer has been around a while. I've e-mailed them about a particular camper that I'm comparison shopping for, the 86SBS, and they've replied promptly with the information I'm looking for.
The only real thing I'm wary about with Adventurer is that they really do not have enough dealers, it seems like. They are really far away (at least from me). But, they seem to have about the same number of dealers as Northern Lite, so that's not really saying anything. My bad luck really to have no dealers for either of them close to me.
Always check the bump stops, all of them (doors, suspensions, cabinets, etc). I've learned that through painful experience.

Cheers to you also ... happy travels

I don't believe the OP was trying to cause a big fuss, he was trying to make owners and potential owners aware of this design flaw and how the manufacturer handled it. Some people on the forum tried to turn it around and make it the OP's fault.

To me, making a video isn't a big deal. I've been making videos for 57 years now. The internet is filled with them. I didn't consider this as "making a fuss". It was just simply way of letting others know who may have an interest in something like this. I also wanted Adventurer to know that blowing off a customer like this isn't always the best approach. So I made a little video, what's the big deal ? Seems like others made it into a "big fuss".

Cool that "Travels with Yoly" has been making videos for 57 years. Probably 5-7 years. Anyway, OPs video was quite the production for the amount of real subject matter, but hey, it's youtube and that's what people do.
OP was definitely trying to make this a big deal. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have titled his youtube video the way he did or even started his thread here.
You can agree or disagree with whether he should or not. I don't have a problem with it, but this forum is about the most critical place on the internet to post this type of thread. Most of us are about sucking it up, making a fix, and moving on. Then, we can go camping. We realize RVs have some very odd problems that shouldn't be there. Oh well ...

Unfortunately my first hand experience with Adventurer suggests they are great throughout the sales process and then you fall off their grid when it comes to after sales service/support.
I respectfully disagree with your statement regarding Adventurer service/support. You had posted last Feb. 2016 That you have own 2 Adventurers and love their floor plan with having no issues at all. What changed?
billyray50. You can respectfully disagree all you want based on YOUR personal experience but you certainly can not change how I feel about MY personal experience. You misread and misinterpreted what I previously wrote. As a refresher, here are the exact words I wrote ...
"We've owned our Adventurer for 2 years now and love the floor plan. No issues at all with it."
First, I did not say we've owned 2 Adventurers. We've owned 1 Adventurer TC for 2 years (now 2.5 years).
Second, my original feelings hold true. We still love the floor plan and have not had a major issue with the unit. It was the lack of responsiveness and action on other items that I had requested of the G.M. of the local Adventurer dealership that prompted my recent comments above.
However and again, based on my personal experience, AMLRV's after the sale responsiveness is sub-standard. There is no contradiction between what I said before and what I am saying now. Two different topics i.e. product (above average) vs. service (not very responsive).
So you had problems with the local independent dealer or AMLRV directly?

I apologize for misreading your post. Sorry to hear your troubles with local dealer. I have always dealt with Brad at Adventurer not the dealer and customer service and warranty issues has always been addressed in a timely manner.
No harm ... no foul billyray50. You respectfully disagreed ... and I respectfully disagreed with your disagreement. Glad we cleared that up. Keep on campin' !!!

For the record ... I got my first movie camera when I was 11 years old in 1959. It's a Kodak 8mm key wind up spring drive mechanism ... I still have it along with the projector for it. I took movies all through high school of track and cross country meets in the 60s and took it with me to Viet Nam in the late 60s. Making movies/videos has been a lifelong hobby for me so sorry if you find it incredulous. There are almost 300 videos on my channel at the moment :-) Also for the record, I've been sucking it up and fixing things for many years on all of the 7 campers we've owned.
