Thanks for sharing this series as I have learned a lot about the Host and your set up. I would suggest that you might consider cutting the corner of the water fill door that contacts your headache rack. If you use a small tooth bladed Coping Saw and then glue it back on with a rubber or plastic strip. Then when you open the door corner folds back. Tuck it up when you close it and it would seal tight when back in place and locked.

I love the counter top extension. If my wife sees that I'm in trouble.

Things I've done to our mammoth

1) replaced the outdoor shower with this: Spray-Port
2) replaced the slinky tube with square fence post. A rhino-hose does not fit in the slinky tube as-is.
3) installed 360watts of solar on roof (2x160w panels)
4) install 4x6volt GC costco batteries and a Outback GFX1312 - that's this puppy.

My stinky hose is in a 5 gallon bucket since it doesn't fit the stock location. I was thinking it might become my flag pole storage since it was never used.

I was hoping to find a quick release filling I could adapt to the current faucet rather than replacing it. Did you run across something like that?

Why didn't host just install the far superior tank system instead of using the same old sensors that are horribly inaccurate?

I did not. Too much plastic in that faucet to really muck with it.

I've been looking at TC's for about a year and a half and after the Seattle RV show settled on a Host but am still about 18 mo out from actually placing an order. After reading through this thread, it's going to be a long 18 mo. Thanks for all the great write-ups and info you guys have shared.

I'm close to you if you want to see anything up close before another RV show.

Do you guys know if Host offers factory tours, and have units to check out. I am considering getting a Rainier SB but can't find one to look at.

They definitely do factory tours.

Hard to say what they have there at the moment to check out, but make sure and give them a call.
