cmarkj - Sorry to hear about your difficulties, but the return policy is very clear and as a business owner I have to agree with CW on this one. As for making the same purchase from Amazon, you should also familiarize yourself with their return policy as well.

From CW:

Return Policy:
We believe in offering the Very Best ...Value, Quality and Selection. You may return unused items for a refund, or exchange within 90 days* from the date of purchase . Please include a copy of the receipt along with the unused product and original packaging. For any item purchased through Catalog or Internet please follow the Return or Exchange directions below. *30 Days for unused and unopened Generators, Electronics & Software.

Have you tried to contact the manufacturer? A pet peeve of many RV owners is that the dealers warranty does not permit the purchaser to use or test many of the systems during the warranty period. Even if you took a test winter trip the a/c and the awnings might note get a workout. If you have an extended warranty the after market additions might be covered. Hope it works out for you.

As you can see, nobody agrees with you on this one.
And these people love to bash Camping World normally.
Face it. You have unreasonable expectations.
Call the manufacturer and get it taken care of already.

I agree with Cw on this one.
But I'll put my two cents in. A few years ago I was buying a few High ticket items at our local store. Swiped my card, put my pin in. The clerk started handing my wife and I our things. She handed my wife a GPS that wasn't ours. Checked the receipt right there in front of the clerk and realized she rang it up and we paid for it.
Those SOB's wanted to charge us restocking fee on an electronic item. After exhausting all common sense, we had to leave with a promise of a check (full price) being mailed to us. Took 6 weeks to receive said check.

And just recently my fathers good sam's gps acted up(6 mos old). We were on the road and stopped in a store in Virginia. Didn't expect much however they swapped it out right there on the spot.

Could you have tested it in your driveway?

Waiting six months and then asking for a return is unfair. Not the other way around.

I rarely agree with Camping World, as they are not customer friendly, but they are right on this one.

If you're unhappy. Buy a new one, and return the old one as defective under the new warranty.
Not exactly ethical, but will solve your problem.

Warranty begins the date of purchase, not the first date of use for almost everything. Actually, I can't think of anything that might be the exception.

Sometimes we learn things the hard way.

There are some items that are warrantied from the in service date and not the purchase date.

we had a home built in florida and had a problem with the fridge, they told us to send a copy of start of elec. service and they honored that date for start of warranty.
