There is so much win in this picture! Nice toy hauler - but the truck is awesome. That's about what I'm looking for in a truck to replace my current TV. Is it a long-bed? I'm looking forward to putting an aux tank in the bed to increase my range to 1000+ miles so I can fuel up when I want instead of letting my fuel stops dictate my trip's pace. What kind of mpg and range are you getting while towing?
Yes it is a long bed and I am getting 9.5 to 11 MPG towing but we do a lot towing up to the Sierra.
Very good. Towing over 1000 miles down to Death Valley & back, including 50/89/88 passes & the 9% grade over 190 into Panamint Springs, which had me down to ~25-30mph dragging about 9500lbs of trailer, I hand-calculated an average of 7 MPG for the whole trip. Even the small difference in MPG at these low numbers would make a noticeable difference in cost, but the ~800 lb/ft of torque would make pulling my trailer over the passes a breeze.
What kind of speed can you maintain on the steepest grades you've driven pulling your loaded trailer?
Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, but I appreciate the info.
We had no trouble maintaining speed going up 88 or 89 heading to Zephyr Cove in Lake Tahoe... Cruises easily at 55.

Just picked up my first Travel Trailer / Toy Hauler a few weeks ago, first pic was the night we drove it home from West Virginia. Would've liked to have found something closer in case of warranty issues but finding a half-ton towable toy hauler capable of hauling 2 4x4 ATV's is kinda tough in the NJ area. The second pic was taken just the other day as I was trying to get a handle on what size WD Hitch I would need with the two ATV's loaded up.

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to our first trip at the end of the month, heading about 6 hours out into PA. Hopefully after a few successful trips I'll be confident enough to plan a long trip out to Utah.

This is my first RV and will be used to haul my Victory Cross Country Tour across our great country. Also used as my home when working the NASCAR races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
This picture was taken just after picking the trailer up at the factory. I opted for the decal delete option.

This is our 2005 R Vision toy hauler. It's also our first "modern" RV with plumbing and propane. In a lot of ways we continue our tent camper mentality. We still set up a kitchen outside and the toy hauler is perfect for bringing along those extras. We like the open floor plan with no wall between the garage and living quarters.
We have carried a pair of BMW motorcycles on some trips but most of the time we're carrying bicycles or gear and supplies for large group camps. The toy hauler is ideal for those duties.
Our V-10 F-250 is a good match since the toy hauler loaded up is less than 7000 lbs.
