On the road with my continuing adventures. Here is a view of the Escalante National Monument. I prefer remote areas and typically with 360 degree views than those within forests. So finding me on the plains, in the desert or mountain meadows would be my choice.

I too like the wide open spaces out West. But, having grown up in the forested East, I'm also comfortable camping amongst the trees, ideally with a water body of some sort nearby. Such as here at Umbagog State Park near Errol NH.

Earlier that day we'd eaten lunch overlooking Rangely Lake in southwestern ME.

On the road with my continuing adventures. Here is a view of the Escalante National Monument showing the high desert and the canyons that pull you into them, literally and spiritually. This is a wonderful to be out in and lost for weeks and weeks.
