67avion,
Where is that at? I'm not to far from you and it looks like a place I'd like to camp at.

Go south from New Haven, Ill off of rt 141. Follow Market St through the old river town and find Big Barn Rd. Big Barn winds alongside the Wabash and can sometimes be known as Mouth Rd. Its about 10 miles till on your left is an exit for Calico Ln. Go due east on Calico Ln then turn south for about .8 mile. On your left you will see the river and a small loop off to the East. That's the spot. You will have to reverse and exit back onto Big Barn Rd since Calico ends.

We simply pulled up and boondocked on a gorgeous midwestern day. I don't know what anyone else's experience may be at this spot in terms of permissions. It was deserted while we were there.

I've been thinking of writing a trip report on our journey last year along the Wabash, Ohio and Mississippi. Maybe I will. We live in a gorgeous region that is totally distinct from Whazoo Country but beautiful in its own right.

Keep the thread going and I'll add to it in a couple of months. Right now if I could even get to the camper you would see the side of my enclosed trailer out one window, a wall out the other side and back, probably a boat out the front. I'm one of the early ones to be put in the storage barn and the owner fills all the nooks and crannies with assorted Summer toys for his customers. Being one of the first in I get a good spot but will be one of the last out.

We camp in the same place for several days every fall for my birthday. This is our front yard view, I use it for my desktop background.

If you see me camped someplace stop and say hi, I've always got an extra ice cold beer.

I don't know, shouldn't there be a window frame involved or something as per the OP, "a camper window"? Just axeskin...

Put up or shut up Whazoo. Was that a camper window with a pew? Ok. I'll just stand here and take a pee-k out the window. It's a small window...
