Ralph, that area looks very green and lush -- it looks like Idaho escaped the western drought!

Patrick, this is one of those "be careful what you wish for" scenarios. Yes, there is often low humidity in the Sierra Nevada (although there has been monsoonal moisture for the last week). But the low humidity means high fire danger -- four years of extreme drought.

Back home in southern California, we had four rainy days this last year. Miserable.
