OK, lets see if I can further muddy the KM waters!! Both David and Tradewinds have the same information that I understand how KM works. I thought I heard that the 125 mile rule isn't enforced now, but not sure. The "home park" designation for a KM park is only to use as a reference when using C2C or the other affiliates and not sure it means anything else. We have only been asked once for the name. I think that KM just uses Elma for that and I think that is just within their system. We have been to most of the KM parks now and we enjoy them all. The one at Ocean Shores on the beach is pretty tight, but its location, location, location. They have also taken over the former TT park down 101 a ways, but it is on the east side of 101 and no beach access. More privacy between spots however. When we were traveling fulltime, we used the access to C2C & RPI, which was great. Bigdog - watch it! I doubt VERY much it will be "free"!! The initiation/joining "fee" will probably be in the 4 figures. If we had it to do over again, we would probably do what Bob did. Find an inexpensive park in the Midwest or south as a home park that also gives you access to C2C, RPI, ROD, etc. You can buy into one of those for less than $300 the last I saw and yearly dues are very minimal. You may also want to look at the TT "zone" pricing concept that they have come up with. Sounds and looks interesting, but haven't looked at it real close. IF you only use KM it does take you a period of time to get that cost down, even only paying $1 or $2/night at KM + cable costs, usually 2 or 3 bucks a day. Wow, I must have turned off that KM discussion!! So lets try this one and see if I get any response! MT. RAINER - we are heading over to Zillah tomorrow, Thurs. to our friends winery and thinking of going over 410 then 123 into Yakima. Can I get the motor home into the parking lot at the White River entrance visitors center? We're not towing the car, just the rig. I know the road on up to Sunrise isn't for a rig, but was wondering about the size of the parking lot there at White River visitors center. Thanks |

Hey Ron, do it the same way we all do when on the road in a new area, drive up and find out. Jeez I was up there last weekend, we could have run up and looked. The Cowlitz Falls campground is a nice place to stay but you have a C2C park right there. I think its 13 miles west of Packwood..

They haven't called me for an appointment as yet,but I believe the amount of about $325 per year was mentioned for K&M,CtoC,Encore and TT. Tradewinds, sorry about coffee, but a whole bunch of things are happening. Carpet this AM and then we've decided that we should get the room painted before putting the furniture back in and on and on and on.I may be going back to work just to get some rest. Holycow... can you put it in a link? I can't remember that many numbers at one time. Motorhome is home from the shop with the exhaust gasket leak still not fixed as my favorite repair shop is kinda going out of business. Bummer. They gave me an $1100.00 estimate, parts and labor, thinking it was a rear radiator rig and that jumped to over $3000.00 when they found they couldn't go in thru the bed. There is a hatch behind the bed in the floor and they'll have to move the radiators and coolers to get to it. I said that I'd find somewhere else and brought it home. Oh well, but I'm really looking forward to this weekend with my 91 y/o aunt and zip-lining at Skamania Lodge. Wish me luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sold our trailer, money in the bank. We are sad and happy. We are done camping. Just plan on car trips or airplanes, maybe a train now and then. Holly and I miss all you folks very much, at 80 years old it was getting just to much. We would still like to have lunch with anyone that has the time when you come to camping world. Thank all of you for all the years, Holly and Hobo |

Just for you Jon--made a link. I forget this forum requires it. Did you try a copy and paste of the long one?

Hobo, Sorry to see your trailer go, but that doesn't mean you have to stop hanging around on the forum or coming to rallies. It just means you have to make other sleeping arrangements. There is always plenty of food and chairs to share. I have your number, so if and when we ever head your way, I'll give a call and see if we can meet up for a bit. 2003 Suburban K2500LT 4WD, 8.1L, 3.73 2008 Adirondack 31RK-DSL Our blog ![]() |

Bob - hope you got a good price for the rig!! How many weeks did it take you to unload the years of stuff from it? ![]() Remember, if you and Holly want to get out of the grey and rain, we have a spare bedroom and head for you to use down there in Sun City!! Hope you keep in touch through this thread and we will get together next summer. |
