Merry Christmas to all of you. It is a shame we cannot seem to get set up for a meet anymore but everyone is so busy and we all seem to be going in different directions. David G. congrats on the new job back East. I lived in that area for two years, it is a spendy place to live. Jon, trust me on this, I did not want to break your record for time spent in Utah broken down. Tremonton is a small town of very nice people but even Taco Time is closed on Sunday. It is small town America.. Bob National Tradewinds with Nissan 4x4 Ext Cab/Honda CRV Toad It's the Journey not the Destination RVing since 1970 ![]() |

Bob, I'm surprised that Tremonton even had a Taco Time. I think it's smaller than Nephi. On another note, assuming we don't have issues with financing, which should beeasierthan last time, we are the process trading in our 2003 Country Coach for a 2015 Tiffin Phaeton, also 40 foot, but with four slides and all electric. I'll post some pictures when we get approved. John & Nikki Ahrens ![]() |

Hey Hobo, Merry Christmas to you and Holly too! Glad to see that you're still lurking around here. ![]() And Merry Christmas to everyone else as well. Bob, you're right, it's a shame we can't seem to get together any more, but everyone does seem to be going different directions these days. If it's not kids, grandkids, jobs, or just plain old being retired like you (and a few others) ![]() Laura and I are looking forward to our next adventure, although it will be without our trailer and it will be a long ways away from family and friends. Hopefully, the telephone, Skype and a few plane rides will help fill the void. 2003 Suburban K2500LT 4WD, 8.1L, 3.73 2008 Adirondack 31RK-DSL Our blog ![]() |

Jon, sounds like a nice rig. We are getting ready to put the up here for sale. Its too big for us anymore. We will move into thehb Tradewinds until we find a new small ONE LEVEL home and then we will sell the MH and go to a newer but smaller rig. We are looking hard at the Jayco Senaca with four slides. Jon, they also had an Artic Circle in Tremonton, not that was upscale. The best place to eat in town was the bowling ally, of course closed on Sunday.. HOBO a very Merry Christmas to you and Holly |

Today was one of those days that a guy would like to be on the road. Sure was a nice day here in Tacoma, WA. Not a good month for Holly and I, we got the flu early in Jan and was both sick for 2 weeks and we still have a cough. Hope all you down south are having a great SUN time. Hobo

Hobo, sorry to hear you and Holly have had the flu, that is no fun, ever. It has been cold and windy down here most of January and so far into Feb. It is just now getting up into the high 70s and low 80s but still very windy....We are doing well for a change with no problems since the two breakdowns and three tows in Utah with the MH. We pray that NEVER happens again. Lots of empty spots in the RV parks this year and they said there is close to a thousand places for sale in the Foothills, pretty sure that number is hugely inflated but in the three blocks down from us I counted 17 places for sale the other day.

Glad to hear from Bob and Hobo. Sorry to hear that you and Holly were down with the flu. As Bob said, this has been 4-8 degrees cooler than average temps for Dec. into Feb. with several bouts of overcast, rain (by desert standards!) and breezy. HOWEVER, this past week it has warmed up and we are now into the low to mid 80's going through this coming weekend! GREAT!! Hobo, remember, if you and Holly and get down, our 2nd. bedroom is still vacant. The daughter and family decided not to fly down, since they are going over to Belize later this month. We had some other friends that was going to try to make it down this month, but other matters came up. If any of you get down into the Valley of the SUN, let us know and we can at least have you come over for drinks and a bbq by the lake. Hobo, good to hear from you, but sorry you and Holly had to deal with the flu. Hope you are better soon. Tradewinds, glad to see a post from you that does not involve mechanical issues, with you or your MH. ![]() Laura and I made it to Alexandria VA where I start my new job on Monday. Went the long way around to avoid all of the snow in the north. Down I-5 to Yuma, I-20 to Atlanta, then north on I-85. 4000 miles total in 7 days. One day of apartment hunting (we had 7 lined up before we arrived) and we found our new home...Avana Alexandria apartments. Never thought we'd be living in a high-rise, but it's nice. Parking is kind of tricky...seems like none of the parking lots we designed with Suburban's in mind. ![]() |

Yeah, sorry Bob. It was just a stop for the day to visit Laura's parents. It would have been nice to see you and others in the area, but we just didn't have the time. ![]() |
