Ron, would you send the info on who put the new decal's on your rig. The heat in Arizona is eating mine alive and I have to either have new graphics made or I have to have a paint shop paint on new ones.

Bob
I had mine done at RV Stripes and Graphics in Mesa, Az. Their website is "RVSG.Com", they have some examples of their work on the website. After the new stripes and several coats of Poli Glow and MP3 our MH looked new again.

I don't know if we will be at next years rally or not. Sure hated to miss the one this year, it's the first one we haven't been to since they started having them.

We are signed up David and I have sent you the required message. Always one to follow orders. We are in site 124 right next to Bobby White and Pam. Coming in on the 15th and departing on the 19th...

On what we think is a good note they cancelled our sons neck surgery at the last moment. They now think its a blood clot on the spine and not a broken neck. MUCH BETTER, scary but much better..

Thanks Tom for the graphic info, I knew someone had them done down there. John Nikki, right now it looks like our lot might have a open spot this year, we will not know for sure until January if our renters are coming down but it does not sound like it right now...

Wow, where is everyone? [emoticon] I can't believe that we have run out of things to yap about! [emoticon]

We are currently up at the KM resort at Diamond Point just east of Sequim. Have spent several days in the national park. Embarrassed to say that having lived in the Puget Sound area all my life, this is my first trip into the park! [emoticon] Yesterday, we took in the Heritage Underground Tour of Port Angeles. Don, the founder and mover of it, was our tour guide and it was great. Highly recommend it to anyone who comes up here. We also drove through the Salt Creek Campground and fell in love with it. It is about 12-15 miles west of PA on Highway 112 and sits on a bluff with great views of the straits and Vancouver Island. Have a feeling that we will spend several days up there next summer!

Any of you heard about Sprint Boat races? Saw a blurb about them on the film in the PA visitors center. Closed course, twisting races at HIGH speeds. They have a course in PA that evidently brings lots of people in. May have time our next trip up here for that.

OK - the fires at Yosemite may direct us on down the CA. coast as we head south this year. We are going to spend another 3 weeks on the Oregon coast down to Eureka. We did the Redwoods last year, but thinking of doing the CA. coast again. Want to do Highway 1 by car, so any suggestions of parks, preferably state parks on either end of Highway 1? Thinking of just staying on the CA. coast down to Santa Barbara, then cutting over to San Bernardino. Any suggestions gladly accepted!

Hope everyone is safe and healthy. Take care.

Just back from five days at Cowlitz River Park. A nice place to camp and just relax. We had 13 other RV rigs there and we did the boiled omelet breakfast and then we did a Hawaiian Pork Roast for dinner. Everyone had a good time with some going to Mt St. Helens and others to Rainer for the day or golfing. Fishing was also an option although no one caught anything worth bragging about. Wondering where David is, have not seen him move me up to page one yet for being signed up...

Ok,now I hear some of you that have K&M seem to like it and I supposedly won a free membership in a drawing at CW late in the spring. K&M had a booth right around the corner from the Kitsap County Parks booth that I was in for four days this week and I talked with the guy and they will still honor that even though it was several months ago.As near as I can figger out,I get K&M and thousand trails/encore and Coast to Coast for, I think,$325 a year. How does that sound to y'all? I'm always leary of these things and the only thing that worries me is that home cg thing. Does that mean that I can only use the K&M campgrounds for a 125 mile radius of say,Elma? And not,say the encore or thousand trail cgs at the beach? Then he said that it would cost me $10 a nite fee,but neglected to say if that also included K&M or just the others. The way things seem to be going as far as getting reservations in the state or some of the popular private parks, this would sem to be the way to go. He's s'posed to call me for an appointment after Labor Day to go to Fife and I'm s'posed to get a $50 gas card if I do. Help !!!!!!![emoticon]

Time for coffee Jon and I will tell you of MY experiences with K&M. The 125 mile rule is that you cannot stay in any park that is within a 125 mile radius of your home park. IE if you join the one in Elma then you could not use a C2C park at Copalis Beach unless it was a K&M park. Also C2C has a yearly fee I think ours is 89 dollars as its locked in since we have been members for over 25 years. Our home park dues are 99$ a year and that is locked in also. It does cost us $10 a night to stay at parks in the C2C system. We do get our monies worth every year with the combined dues as its under $200 and we stay in many of the parks throughout the year. Figure the normal park is at least 30 bucks a night anymore it does not take long to make up your $200 outlay. We also use PassPort America for $39 a year, Elks Clubs and Military Parks. Our average cost per night the last time we made a 6 mouth trip came out to just about $12 a night. KM is also going try and talk you into the Delux package, we need to talk...

We have been pretty busy getting stuff from the house into our trailer and moved over to Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell. we're in our temporary site for now, but hope to move to our "long term" site soon (maybe today, but by the 3rd for sure). It may be short-lived though. Most of the job interviews I have had have been for jobs out of state, so there is a good chance we may be moving soon.

Our son and his family will be doing a rent-to-own on our house so we won't have to go through the foreclosure process. Hopefully it all works out.

Bob, you're on the list.

Jon, about K&M. With their membership, you get access to all of their parks, no 125 mile rule or $10 fee there. That's for the C2C membership and the parks in that system, and it's the C2C membership that gets you access to some (not all) of the Thousand Trails parks. You won't get a Thousand Trails membership from K&M, just access to some of their parks via C2C. Do you know where they would make your "home park"? We have been to Beachwood, Birch Bay, Ocean Shores, Elma and Cheney. Cheney is an old Yogi Bear park and it has a really cool mini golf course. Of all the others, Ocean Shores is probably their oldest park, but they were doing some upgrades the last time we were there, so it might be a good looking park by now.

Thank you David, it will be good to see everyone again. I think I said the samething you did about the 125 rule, but you said it better. You can only use KM within that distance. Our home park is in Oklahoma and we use our Arizona address for membership so we are pretty darn safe. It was important to use to use the Arizona address or we could not stay at many of the parks that we like in Washington, especially at the ocean.

Bob,
I think you have a different situation that Jon. Jon is looking at a K&M membership where he can also get a C2C membership. With C2C, you can get into K&M parks too, but you have to have a home park somewhere. [emoticon]

Jon would be able to get into all the K&M parks with the K&M membership, plus he can get into all of the C2C parks that fall outside the 125 mile rule of his home park, which would probably be one of the K&M parks, so he needs to make sure the home park is far enough away from any of the other parks he might want to visit, at lieast as a C2C member.

COFFEEEEE !!!! It looks as if Wednesday will work after I take the Jeep into the shop.I keep getting the gascap and engine light, even after they've changed the cap twice now,so I think it's actually something else since it also has a small stumble.
I think that they said CtoC,Encore and Ttrails with only $325 a year. Supposedly it was to be a four day special at CW and that's where I first saw it and told the salesperson at the fair about it.
It's amazing what draws folks to the fair. We moved the Extreme bulls from Sunday PM to Wednesday and had a big bunch of folks there and we added a D-derby to the last thing Sunday PM. Last year we had 6100 thru the gates on Sunday and this year we had almost 10K and 5k of those hit the D-derby.It was the biggest crowd of the year for the derby. Wow,whodda thunk?
