I just found this thread and am glad to know that there are others out there! I bought a former rental from a couple who had purchased it in AZ. It had 120k on it when I bought it and had been sitting for about 6 months in RV storage. It was fairly well maintained and in pretty good condition. I have had it for 6 years now and have not had any problems. We are leaving soon on our biggest trip yet and hope everything goes well! I rationalized buying a rental knowing that all maintenance was done and all fluids were always changed and that they went through it with a fine tooth comb before selling to the public. Basically it was more well maintained than I would have maintained it! I have the Majestic 25 foot RV with the Triton 5.4 liter former Cruise America rental.

Do you have the 23P model? Mounted on F-350 not e-350.

I have the one mounted on the E350 chassis. Don't know the model number off the top of my head.

Add me to the list. Newby RVer, bought 2011 FW Tioga Ranger 25g /e450/v10 from El Monte in Texas.

I have been using forums such as this to educate myself on this new hobby. Lots to learn but has been fun so far.

Thanks for the info so far!

Well it has been one year since purchasing my exrental Freedom Elite from Camping World. At the time CW had just gotten out of the rental business and was dumping their fleet. I wasn't even really in the market but when I ran across this one there was little question. Admittedly intimidated by the word rental, but after close inspection the 2014 26T came home with me!

Have had zero problems and many great trips... spent hours and hours on making my 'fort' mine and could not be happier!!

Whether out in the motor home or just sittin n sippin a fine whiskey, my mind wanders these daze. I'm ok with this...

Back from camping for a week and the coach did great! The tow/haul function worked great on the steep grades. Couldn't be happier. I do have a question on storing this thing. It's on my side yard and I have it plugged in and I'm wondering should I keep the refrigerator on or off and open? What's worse starting/stopping it or keeping it running??

There is no right or wrong as far as plugging in the frig. If you do keep it plugged in, make sure the RV is level or you'll screw up the frig. Also make sure you check your battery occasionally. Chances are you don't have a smart charger/convertor and could mess up your battery.

Sometimes you don't know it was a rental. We bought a unit from a RV dealer after the salesman said quite sincerely the unit was a trade-in and not a rental. I think it was a trade-in but the previous owner must have bought it as a rental. When we were washing it, we saw the shadow of numbers on the cab overhang. It was only visible at a certain time of the day. Have only been able to see the numbers twice--the paint job was that good. I suspected it was a rental before we saw it because the mileage was higher than most 2007 models (48,000). The lure of a good price sucked us in and I put aside my gut feelings. Fortunately the unit has given us few problems. We bought it in September 2014.
