We purchased our 2000 Nomad last year. It has held up very well over the years. It was used very little but I've found no real craftsman ships issues at all.

Curious which model you like?
We would want the 19RB. It's just the two of us, and this floor plan gives us everything we're looking for, and at the least possible weight.
I've liked the outside looks of the Koala from the 1st time I saw them on the Skyline site. Even though they are supposed to be silver-gray, most pictures make them look white. But seeing it in person, it's definitely silver-gray, which I like.

How do you like it? We're picking up our '012 Joey 269 on Tuesday. Our 1st TT too. Hope it doesn't get beat up too bad at the RV Expo. It'll be there until tonight.

Looked very closely at a 2012 Koala yesterday. I really liked the TT. Has everything DW & I need in a TT. Really liked the exterior. The finish is a high gloss, gel coat Lamilux 4000 fiberglass exterior. It was so smooth, like the finish on an automobile. You could not see any glass fibers showing. I liked the color also. Silver-Gray. with a lot of black trim items. Refreshing after mostly seeing nothing but bright white. I also know the axle factory weight ratings for the axles under the Koala. From the factory, the rating is 2800# for each axle, for a total of 5600#. The GVWR of the trailer is 4950#
I didn't pull the trigger because of two things I'm not comfortable with. After picking up the dinette cushion, the wooden seat rest was stained, presumable water. This pice of wood touched the wooden back of the dinette seat yet the back had zero signs of any water or other liquid.
Also, a piece of wood in the base of the seat resting on the linoleum had a stain mark. There was no sign of water on the floor or on the visible part of the wall.
It's almost as if these pieces of plywood had gotten wet & stained at the factory before they were ever used to build the dinette seats.
And there was one other place with a stain. It was one of the over head lights. It had a yellow/brown stain inside the lens. No idea what this was about either.
Obviously, I'd be nervous buying a new TT if it already had some leaks.

GeorgeNJ wrote: I guess I have the oldest Skyline posted so far in this thread, a 1993. I bought it last fall & it's in fantastic shape, you'd never know it was 19 years old. Everything works as it should, even the slide out works flawlessly. If mine is any indication, you guys with new(er) ones should expect a long service life from your units.
We're camping this weekend here in NJ, it's been so warm, so might as well.
We just traded our popup for a 88 Skyline Nomad. So it's just a little older than your 93. Haven't camped in it yet, still putting some of the little things in order. Just fixed the furnace and need new tires before I can tow it very far.
I would join a Skyline group if there was one.
