of course I'm using the rig next weekend so it's all set to go with all the gear packed water tank filled grey and black empty and we are going to have 4 nights forecast for 27*... so topped off my propane, set the furnace for the lowest setting, opened all the interior cabinets and snapped the insulated vent covers into place. I like having the TC ready to rock as we live in earthquake country( I was near the epicenter of the Loma Prieta Quake, the one that hit during the Giants Vs A's World Series) so you can never be to prepared. I just can't bring myself to dump 30 gallons of potable water. 2011 F350 6.7L Diesel 4x4 CrewCab longbed Dually, 2019 Lance 1062, Torqlift Talons, Fast Guns, upper and lower Stable Loads, Super Hitch, 48" Super Truss, Airlift loadlifter 5000 extreme airbags ![]() |

I checked on mine and realized that though I had the water heater pilot lit to keep it from freezing (24 degrees here) and had the little elctric heater going inside, I totally forgot to open the bath door and under sink cabinet door... sooooo, now I have a frozen and broken drain trap in the bath.... GGGRRR!!!! I hate when I do stupid things like this!! In addition, though I asked my guests over Christmas NOT to use the bath, they apparently did and so I now also have a frozen cracked black water pipe at the valve. Lovely. Having heated and insulated tanks does no good when I don't use the propane furnace. Lesson learned!! Propane is cheap as opposed to the labor I now have to expend to fix my stupidity! This was a first for me! ![]() * This post was edited 01/10/13 11:18pm by dakonthemountain * 2018 GMC Denali "Extreme" and 23' EVO 2050T Travel Trailer Escapee member #224325-Since 1992 |

lets see: replaced a crappy shower curtain with a new and improved modified one,painted/greased a few screw heads, cleaned out camper, sanded and painted the cargo rack, replaced and reprogrammed the direct tv remote, cleaned and repacked the cargo box, tested the new coleman stove i got for christmas, and began packing for our 6 week trip to Fla on Feb 15. the typing reminds me how tired i was all over again.![]() |

after last weeks monsoon like rain storms and the last few days freezing temps i went over and checked on the tc.Everything looked good,so good that i decided to consume an ice cold beer I found in the pantry and relax on the dinette for a bit.Our cheap camping world cover is on winter #2 ,a few rips from last year that i repaired but it is doing a good job of protecting the old lance from the elements.Cant wait till easter to get her loaded back on the dually!
