Topic: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?

Posted By: kerry4951 on 11/27/12 07:24pm

Loaded the TC after having it off the truck for the past 40 days. Been hosting at High Falls State Park in Georgia. Had a chance to use my homemade support system and it worked great. TC was very stable. This is a great park with great staff. This is our third time hosting at High Falls SP and we consider it our second home.

Replaced the pilot/thermocouple assembly for my water heater and bought a new pressure relief valve, but can't install it because no one here locally has the damned special wrench to get the old one out.

Cool, Kerry. I'd be interested in pics of your support system if you have any.

unzipped my tc cover and went in commando style with my flashlight looking for leaks, batteries were dead,oh well. Then i remembered that it is plugged in to my very good freinds shore power($40.00 a month),turned on all the lights and everything looks good, cracked a can of beer that i found hidden in a cupboard and listened to a ccr cd,all in all a good day.

Yesterday was the big day. Picked up the NEW 2012 F350 XLT 6.7L Diesel Long box Super Cab in Boise. Had a Rear Slider Window installed. Drove her home to Stanley in driving rain and then into hard snow fall. Grandjean to Stanley 6 inches of new heavy wet snow on the road....Not plowed. Didn't stop and put her hubs in. So drove in 2WD. 19.3 mpg average to the house 135 miles in lousy weather....Today I start getting her set up for the Eagle Cap 950 TC.

New trucks are always a nice thing. Enjoy the diesel, just don't ever mix the DEF and diesel fuel fill holes!!! Expensive mistake.

I dont understand. How does lack of underwear help you find leaks?
