I got tired of defective caulking and am removing all lights, vents etc. anything that is screwed or fastened on, rebedding them all in butyl.

I found that with most caulking you cannot easily see when it starts to go bad.

Hopefully this stuff will be better...

I trim the excess and then caulk over that, dont think I have to but maybe it will help..

Yesterday I replaced the outside shower faucet unit. Hopefully fixing a slow leak there. After the month long trip to Alaska I tightened all plumbing connections I could get to. Many had vibrated or shook loose. The worst roads were in the Yukon... Today I am going to open up the Camper Jacks and see if they need lubed. The trusty Eagle Cap is almost 4 years old now.

Finishing,at last, refurbishing our new old camper. Insulate the fiberglass nose cabinet in cab over bed, hung and secured cooking utensils, waiting on wall mount knife rack then all is done! Ready for big trip to Georgia, Florida and along gulf coast to Texas and home next month. New places for us Okie old folks.

What kind of leak, and how did you repair it?

One of the airlines rubbed against the chassis and created a leak. I cut the tubing and found a1/4" tubing connector and Lowes and reconnected the tubing. But I still have aslow leak somewhere else. I hate these push on connectors. Wish I coiuld find some other, more secure type.

I replaced the LED tail lights with new ones from Lance. The old ones had many LEDs and many were burned out. The new ones have only 7 very bright ones. Easy job and DONE! [emoticon]

Pulled, scraped, lifted, cleaned old sealer around all roof penetrations on my old Lance. Laid the new Dicor down just ahead of our first snow. That is a tedious and time cosuming PITA!
