Topic: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?

Installed a switch for the slideout. The EC only came with a remote which really irritated me. Problem solved.

Slide Out Switch....Yes... I too would like details on how you added a Slide out switch to your Eagle Cap.....We have a EC 950 and a switch would be a nice addition...to the remote.

Details Please.

I was leaving on a week long business trip so I dropped my 2006 Dodge 2500 diesel off at my dealers. It has 180K and I've never changed any fluids except the engine oil.

I instructed the dealer to treat the truchk as if it was his own and he wanted to get another 200K out of it. I didn't care what it cost.

He replaced ALL fluids, brake, radiator, transmission, front and rear differential.
He replaced a badly rusted turbo oil feed hose.
He replaced the AC compressor (AC was not working)
Replaced both front ABS sensors (ABS/Brake light had been on for some time)
Replaced alternator because bearings were making grinding noise
Greased chassis and wheel bearings

$2020.00 later I'm ready for another 180,000 miles!

Got in trouble for stealing my wifes hair dryer. I used it to take off all the misc decals they put all around the coach especially this one.

Sorry northwood, but I am not a fan of the website information on the back of the camper

Ha! Gotta give it to them for trying to advertise for free. I'm personally not a fanboy of all the graphics either. I guess some are. Some of the stripes and swooshes are ok, but the rest are either too big or too tacky or both.

One of these days, I'll get around to removing mine. Hopefully before there's a shadow left behind

The trick here is to hit it from the bottom of the decal rather than the top. I was doing the latter and it took far too long to heat the adhesive enough to get it to come loose. I started out only tearing little pieces off at a time. What a pain. Once the bottom side is hott enough, it peels right off.

Over the weekend I ran some coax across the roof from the connector where the previous crank-up OTA antenna was mounted to the rear ladder where I'm planning to mount a Dish Tailgater. While up there I noticed some cracking in the Dicor sealant around the vents, so this morning I cleaned the old sealer and added a fresh layer of Dicor all around.

And...
Mounted the shelf I made to hold the Dish receiver.

There was a fluorescent fixture there.

So I found a 12v LED light string on eBay and mounted them under the bracket, in case you were wondering what the switches were for. [emoticon]
