OnStar uses regular cellular technogy. If you can't get a cell signal you won't get OnStar.

Well we had a new visitor to our gate yesterday. The biggest Wild Turkey I have ever seen.

LOL....we got caught in a power struggle between 2 company men and found out this AM, the one here in Three Rivers won out, so we are not moving to the new construction gate in Pawnee Thursday. Anyone waiting that wants to work a construction gate with Pioneer, they will be putting someone in Pawnee this week. You will need a cell phone amp, as there is very poor reception at that gate.

We have also decided to stay here this summer and keep working. So hopefully they will give us another good gate in a month, when this one closes.

How does GGS determine gate assignments?

Who ever is next out, at the area that services that gate. This particular gate is on Jamies board.

If anyone needs or wants to have a cell/aircard amplifier as a backup, here is a good buy on one. After a lot of research and having used a Wi_Ex amp last year, we ordered this model yesterday, at a higher price....LOL.

We just got a Wilson booster. We've never really had problems getting cell service or internet(both AT&T), but we decided to get one just in case. I have noticed it makes our internet a little speedier.

Hey Fellow Gate Guards, After searching for a dentist for a while, I finally made an appointment with Brush Country Dental Center in Pleasanton. If you need a dentist, give them a try. They have 2 dentists, Dr. Morgan and Dr. Pruski. I saw Dr. Pruski. It is a very nice place, with all the latest equipment and treatments. I figure if I have dental insurance, I need to use it and get my free cleaning and exam every 6 months.

Is anyone getting any of this rain they keep calling for. Here at Artesia Wells we have only had a sprinkle Wed night did not even get the dirt wet. Last night was pretty cloudy. Usually we can look to the north of our site and see the blaze on top of the pole way off, this picture is what it looked like about midnight last night. Just thought I would share it.
