We have also been told that a company is underbidding GGS and paying $100.00 a day and provides a FEMA trailer. Do you know anything about this?

Let's see-hopefully they provide necessities?? It'd be a b*tch to have to drag along balnkets, pillows, towels, pots, pans, cutlery, etc. everywhere I went.

We have two rigs and a "facility." The gate guard company we're working for is GGS. Yes, we get paid more by virtue of the 2 drilling rigs. We average ~200 vehicles in a 24-hour period.

what oil company are you working for?

I would take another EOG gate if they pay more for 2 rigs.
Just because one company man was bad, does not mean they all are that way. I just want the extra money for all the extra work. The EOG company man told me all their gates were that busy.
So the question is; are you getting more than $125.00 per day ?

Our experience with EOG was the company man is the day to day boss but the Construction Superintendent is the one signing off on the invoices. He is the go-to guy for getting the rate increase. EOG's rate for the Barnett was:
+$50/day for every rig over one
+$50/day for frac crew if you had another rig or frac crew already on site.
+$50 for 3 workover rigs or more with one of the above present.

5 frac crews would pay $325/day

3 rigs / frac crew / 3 workover rigs = $325/day

In our case, showing 25+ pages of sign-ins for a 24 hour period was proof positive. You WILL not get the big money without earning it. It was brutal work.

So, do you follow a drilling rig? Or, do you stay for the complete well drilling, fracking, and production process?

We have always stayed until the job was completed. Just stayed until GGS said time to move out. But we may start going with the rig.
We have not decided as of yet. It really does not matter to me. I know fracking there are a lot of sand trucks running 24 hrs. But you got to have something to keep you awake at night.

I think it would be easier if I put my number out there 417 322 3765. Call me and I'll try to organize a lunch get together-maybe next Sunday.
