Looks more like a custom/homemade . Notice the bottom is rolled and the window is below the cabover line .

Wonder if Whazoo has been fooling around with Photoshop? Otherwise its only suitable for very small people. Especially the cabover. Where did you run across this?

So! If anyone saw the posting for the 69TC in Devils Lake ND, I picked it up wednesday. Someone called the seller about it as we were loading it onto my truck heh. Was a bit of a drive from Ky, but I had a job in Mi that covered the gas on this 2600 mile round trip. Basic leak and water issues of a camper this old but everything was in the unit and I have all the paperwork and warranty info from the first owner, I should be the third owner of this unit. I'll be adding more photos as the rebuild advances @ http://blackflagforge.com/aviontc.html ![]() Edit: Forgot to add it was $500. ![]() * This post was edited 06/23/12 09:44pm by BlackFlagForge * |

I have been restoring a 1969 Avion C-11 that has been in the family since it was new. It has been sitting in my back yard for over 25 years, probably closer to 30 years since it has been used. My wife "told" me it is time to fix it or buy a small Airstream. She actually wanted to fix the Avion over buying something relatively new. I didn't want to put it on my F-350, so I had to build a trailer for it. I'm setting it up for using it on either the trailer or my truck, but I don't want to take it off the trailer. I'm putting in a new interior, having the cabinets redone, new countertops, table, toilet, upholstery, refrigerator (Dometic RM 2510 which is 10" taller than the original), faucets, water heater (electonic igniter), water tank, water pump, piping, lights, and a gray water tank. We decided to have the gray water tank custom built out of stainless steel and it is a tight fit. It is 19 gallons and accepts water from the shower, kitchen sink and lav. I saw the great job that Ticki2 did on his gray water tank when he posted it over on the Air Forums. Trailer almost complete ![]() Bed almost on new trailer ![]() Bed on trailer ![]() Trailer bed with camper guides, front stop and guides, and plugs ![]() Camper moved for the first time in almost 30 years ![]() Camper bottom stripped, sanded, stained, and finshed with new plastic/wood runners ![]() Installing water tank shelf for two 16 gallon water tanks under the truck bed, forward of the 7,000 pound axle ![]() Rear bumper of trailer which also shows old galvanized gas line and city water line that was hanging down from the factory. The bottom of the camper now looks like new ![]() Cabinets removed from Camper ![]() Interior being worked on with stain on top of wings. No rotted wood was found on structural wood. Several pieces of cabinet interior wood was replaced because of a leaking vent cover ![]() Structural reinforcing bracket that will stengthen the floor and hold most of gray water tank. Notice the ugly white floor. LOL ![]() Right wing with formica covering ![]() Left with with formica for under the new refrigerator ![]() Stainless Steel 19 gallon gray water tank ![]() Another picture of the Gray Water tank. The 2" line for lav and kitchen faucet is hooked up in this picture, and the 1-1/2" line, with trap, from the shower goes over the 3" Black Water discharge line and right into the back, top of the gray water tank. ![]() Dometic RM 2510 with modified fins to help in fit into camper ![]() |

WOW! Two more Avions!!! Love both!! Really like the looks of the one on the trailer! Can't wait to see the final product! Went out for the day "camping" with the Avion. Went a bit off the road here in Kodiak Alaska with some friends to let the kids go play on some 4-wheelers. Too tired now, but hope to post some pics up tomorrow. Had a great day! Parked the truck and camper on a rock beach of the American river, after driving aways up the "Road to Saltry Cove". THe day was beautiful! sunny, enough wind to keep the bugs at bay, snow capped mountains with the valley mostly green, and definitely warm (for Kodiak standards... We actually hit 66 degrees F. ![]() Garry in AK |
