I wonder unless a tree fell on it if the previous owners ever got a handle on backing it up, that poor thing is beat.

I haven't seen that layout but I have a brochure that shows one . It was called a Custom Side Dinette , there was also a Custom Front Dinette and the most typical the Side Gaucho .

Hey Avion Guys and Gals,
I am heading out on the second voyage of the Kodiak Avion, and was working on a few things before I leave, and was looking at the door. The PO glued all the panes shut with sealer, and the operating mechanisms are missing. Can anyone with the Jalousie window in their door take some pics so I can see what it is supposed to look like. e-bay has many parts, but I have to go by picture... I have the inner screen frame, so I know where the operator is supposed to go, but that is it... Summer is coming, and I bet that momma would like some ventilation at the campsite. Also has anyone figured out how to put a screen door on these old campers?

Thanks again,
Garry in Kodiak

I saw this on TV and I'm thinking about trying one on my Avion.

What are you Avion guys using for LP bottles ? I know they originally came with horizontal bottles but can you use vertical bottles ? The regulator is setup for two hoses what size bottles are you using either vertical or horizontal ? I'm going to start my restoration soon and LP bottles are on the list as my TC did not come with them when I purchased it.It is a 1968 C11.

The Avion is shinier. The Avion carries more people. The Avion is not as big as the P-51. The Avion is also not as FAST as the P-51. Nice job on the Avion but when you get the P-51, be sure to post pics as you polish it.

I have a C-10, so originally mine had two skinny verticle bottles. But Now I have one new horizontal bottle. Plan on setting it up, so I can use a BBQ bottle when stationary at a campsite. Will either haul it on a rack up front (future project) or squeeze it into the original propane locker, now used for power cord, sewer hose and jack tripods etc.
