Thanks for your thoughts on this, I’ve decided to go ahead and add a 4th Jack to my C-10. I checked out the 3 that I have this weekend and all are in good working shape. I think relocating the single sides Mounting Bracket and adding a fourth will alleviate any concern about the crinkle because the new locations will both be closer to internal ribs, also the wood base of the Wings are both in good shape without any rot. Good advice to use the Jacks just for loading and unloading, I definitely plan on using a cradle or other supports when the Avion is off the truck. I’m going to try to find a used vintage 4th Jack, and if lucky a Mounting Bracket. https://photos.app.goo.gl/HaC42A5ky5wS7167A If anyone has any of these that you are interesting in parting with please send me a PM. -Don http://flyte63.blogspot.com |

I went with the 4 jack system also , was lucky and found one in a neighbor's back yard . They will come up on eBay once in a while . There is a place in the Finger Lakes that deals in vintage campers you can call . Fletcher' s , 607-387-5838 . The new rieco 2000# jacks are almost identical except for the Jack handle key . Good luck

Thanks ticki, I know Fletch from TCT events and he is at the top of my list for a possible source. He also is an Avion fan and used to use C-10 for some of their own travels. Good lead on the Rieco #2000 also! Seems like a bunch of the old Atwood products still live on under a few different brand names now.

Flyte63, I bought a Rieco Titan to add as the fourth jack on my rig and it was a perfect match for the originals. I think I bought it from Dyers RV online.

I see the maximum height of the Reico Titan 1000/2000 jacks is 60" which is about the same as my original Atwood jacks. Specs on 2017+ Ford F250/350 trucks look like they might need 61.5" (depending on suspension package, etc..) This seems like it might be too close for comfort. Do any of you use the 8" "extensions lifts" with your Reico Titan jacks? Does anyone know if the 8" Reico extensions lifts are compatible with the old Atwood jacks? (my guess is not) Thanks for your help! |

Perhaps D1trout could measure the do a. Of the new and old jacks to see if they are the same . You might also look into modifying the Jack stands buy shortening the chains and welding on a new stop for the legs . I made extensions for the top of the jacks where the bolt on out of 4" channel because I needed both height and width to accommodate my flatbed at 42" .

I fought my Reico Titans for 8 years. Puckered every time I had to get it high enough to go into my 2002 F350 4x4 with 265x70x19.5 (34”) tires. Now that I have my Stable-Lift on the C-10 loadingis a breeze. I know that the cost is pricey but the benefits of operation and loading in 5 minutes is great!!!

cajunavion wrote: ![]() Howdy! Garry be sure you set your stops on the Stablelift before you finish the install, both up and down. They do not emphasize it in the instructions. It’ll make life easier forever and keep you from overrunning the top wormscrew as it wears! Did not see anything concerning setting the stops in the directions. When I am nearly at the top, if I go to far it makes a ratcheting sound. Let me know if I'm missing something! Sure is nice to have power jacks!!! and a camper that is stable!! Garry |

Hey Garry! Hey Ticki! Hey D1! Howdy Cajun! Glad to see you're all still hanging in there. Jane and I are planning two trips in the next few months: Lake Superior this month (maybe as far as Copper Harbor) and the Grand Tetons in September. I'll be airing out the 67 Avion and getting the systems up and working. I've had issues with the AGM batteries, losing several sets of them over the past 2 years. With 3 batteries in a set, that's a nice piece of change. Hopefully we'll get it working properly so there are smooth trips. Glad to see new folks on board. DG ![]() |
