Topic: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photos

Posted By: joerg68 on 04/25/18 04:41am

There is a nice looking 1968 C-11 on ebay right now. Located in MA. I am neither affiliated with the seller nor do I know that particular camper - just ran across the ad.

The interior looks quite factory original to me. If I were looking for one, I'd be tempted.

Before I moved to Colorado, I came across a C11 on an old D200 about 15 miles from where I was living in Kansas. It was at a dealership parked behind the building in some tall grass, so I stopped to inquire. Unfortunately the owner wasn't present and the dealership didn't have any information. They let me go look at it and it would've needed a complete overhaul, but looked to be all there. I did get some pictures of it and that was about it.

About a month ago, I went back to Kansas and didn't see the truck or C11 out there. Maybe it'll make an appearance back out on the road one of these days...

I'd like to add that I have started to archive this massive thread. I'm still working on an effective way to get the images hosted on photobucket back, which is proving to be rather difficult thus far.

If you have any ideas on that, I'm all ears.

Good work on the archiving. I also took out the URL www.aviontruckcampers.com in case we want to go to a website at some point.

I just finished getting all of 2011 archived. I've found an effective way of getting most of the images back in place with what I'm doing. Probably not the most efficient way of doing it, but it works.

The only images I wasn't able to get back thus far were the ones posted by Dennis (69cayo).

Onward to 2012!

66C10...That is awesome...at the Avion meetup I will have to make sure you get your choice piece of jerk chicken.

I have been determined to be the last person in the USA to use Facebook, so I am hoping we can find an alternative hosting site.
keeping my fingers crossed

66c10, Is there anything I can do to help you out with that ?

66C10....I think you're on a mission from God. You're getting the band back together. Your reward will be here on earth with jerk chicken from Rasta, and Baby Bourbon from Southern Illinois.

Onward!

Photobucket wouldn't load the image at that link. I'm not sure if the images were moved to a new album or not, but for whatever reason it wasn't working.

If you have a new link for these images, I can get them that way or if you still have the images you can always e-mail them to me.

I know there are more, but it'll take me a little bit to go back through my organized chaos to dig them back up.

Thanks,

Tim

I knew this thread contained a wealth of information regarding our beloved TCs. Once the photobucket fiasco happened, I felt like so much was lost. Thankfully, I found a way to save the images while putting them in their rightful places.

So far in this journey, I've saved 539 pictures and my document is currently 451 pages long and approximately 86,910 words... and that's only to July 9th, 2012.

It's a great way to pass the time without spending money!
