Yep, a big hole. The width of the truck window and as high as possible. Like a Class C.

The place in Kent, Washington I talked to was Pierce Aluminum. They had Clear Anodized Aluminum 5005 sheets in both .050' and .032'. I last talked to them in 2011, so the prices they gave me then wouldn't do you any good. but just for grins a 4'x10' sheet of .032" clear anodized 5005 Aluminum was $175 per sheet.I hope that this helps! Garry, thanks for the aluminum source. I'll connect with them. I suppose color match is an issue. We'll see how it looks. Dennis, I have bookmarked that boot material. However I think I'll need a solid metal cowl or fairing or flange or... To join the truck and camer permanently. More will be revealed. I have a couple of good pics but am experiencing technical difficulties uploading images from my iPhone... Dick |

I am doing the same thing. Installing a marine style hatch in the roof for escape and ventilation. Mine is a 24x24 Vetus...which is yours? You sure are doing some wonderful work. Thx for posting. BTW you can get screen and shade covers for them from OceanAir.

Play9, I too have installed a Vetus hatch. About 15 x 20 because of the curve of the roof and the configuration of the ribs inside the shell. I also had a piece of clear polycarbonate cut to replace the smoked one that is standard. Always in search for more light. Thanks for the info about screens and shades. I have a screen but will be needing some sort of shade. I've been busy with boats and fishing lately but looking forward to getting g back to work on Argo. I have found a utility body manufacturer called Douglas in Bakersfield, CA who makes a Low Silhouette utility body specifically for truck campers. Different sizes and configurations for different campers. Steel, not aluminum, and heavy, but we all need as much storage as possible. Onward! Dick |

Whoa! That's a re-purposed Motovator. Wheels on the back, truck frame removed, and it's now a gooseneck fiver. I ask you, are the Avion guys inventive or what? Do you have any interior photos? That's amazing.
