Wyocuttergirl, Muley Point, Utah, overlooks Monument Valley from a sheer precipice hundreds of feet high. It's near Mexican Hat and reachable by climbing the Mookie Dugway, a switchback road with very few places to pass other vehicles. A truly spectacular spot.

Avionistas, does anyone know if I can buy anodized .032" aluminum sheet that will provide something of a match with the original anodized skin of a C11? All ideas appreciated. Dick |

I researched this a few years back, and I found a place in the Seattle area that had .035 anodized aluminum. It is available, but I do not know the ability to match existing. Garry, any recollection of the name of the Seattle source? After discussing the eBay Motorvator with Chuch Cayo and the fellow in NC who has listed it, Annie and I have concluded we'd be better served to reconsider the idea of converting Argo into a more Motorvator-ish vehicle, with passage from the truck cab to the camper for people and dogs and a flat floor, w/o the wings to fit inside the truck bed... Oh my... Dick |

Oh my... Dick Without the wings you still lose a lot of floor space from the need for cabinets. If you kept the wings you could still have aluminum boxes custom made with access from the outside for storage. Either way, it would work out. Oh my... Dick Dick, Please explain, I'm not sure what direction your heading in. Thanks Dennis |

Dennis and others, the answer is that I'm reconsidering adapting Argo, the all aluminum C11, to fit on a flat bed-type truck chassis base so that I can cut away the back of the cab and move from the cab into the camper, if one is a dog or the mom of a dog...Annie is determined to get access front to back. And I'm just her humble servant... The only 4WD Class C campers out there are Tigers, which are very pricey. It might be a fairly straightforward deal to permanently attach Argo to the truck, minus the truck bed, and then open it up. And 69 pointed out that one doesn't need to remove the framework for the wings. They create excellent storage as is. The dinette would have to be reconfigured fore and aft, which would mean a bit of frame adjustment, but what the heck...keeps me off the streets. Be flexible, I keep telling myself. Dick |

Howdy! D1 how big a portal are you intending to make? A small passthrough would serve most dogs (and kids) easily. It would seem an adult is going to be crawling wiggling or both no matter what size you cut the bulkhead. Unless you cut through the loft or jackup the whole rig considerably. I am crazy about my portal, but I am sure your thinking BIG. |
