69Avion , I used Trempro 635 , it is the modern version of Vulkem which was used on Airstreams for decades . I applied the caulking to the back of the window flange as opposed to the skin . The original was a thin foam core double sided tape . I didn't care for the tape or the many good butyl tapes on the market as I didn't think they would conform enough over some of the irregular surfaces , especially the front window with the many seam joints from the front panels . The other benefit of the caulking is it oozes out of the rivet holes and makes a good seal when installing them .The blue tape was to make cleanup easier . I found that letting the caulk dry a few hours , or even overnight made the cleanup easier . A sharpened craft stick cleans around the rivets nicely , then remove the tape , then a final cleaning with some naphtha . Note ; Trempro 635 claims a shelf life of 12 months . ticki2, thanks for the info. I'll be asking more question as I get into doing the project.

Fellow Avionistas, I am removing unnecessary items from my C11 and wish to pass them on to anyone who needs them for the cost of shipping. Here's what I have... Two 14x14 crank-up roof vents, complete and ready to install in your raw original roof cutout. One with aluminum lid and one with opaque fiberglass lid. With screens, cranks, etc. I'm replacing them with Fantastic vents. The overhead vent assembly for the three way refridgerator. I'm using a dual voltage/non-propane fridge so don't need the propane heat vent. The side-mounted vent for the stove hood. The stove hood. The heater vent cap with pipe and square roof plate. Two original propane tanks, in apparently good condition. One has propane in it. Plus the long bolt and the dual tank hold-down bracket. The bathroom moldings, complete. This includes the shower pan, the sink and it's base, some plastic molded surround. TP holder. Send me email at [email protected] to discuss. Onward! Dick |

I've got a fridge, stove and other stuff as well. It probably is too complex to ship but its free for a pick up.

A few months ago, my son, during a restless night, broke the vertical plywood members of the bed guard (or whatever it's proper name is). I finally built the replacement. This time I used aluminum stock. It turned out real well and I know it isn't going to break as easy this time.![]() ![]()
