Hi Guys!! Sorry I've been absent all summer. Looks like I have a lot to catch up on. Slowly putzing with "The Goat". Still haven't tackled the bathroom, but the rest is looking and working pretty darn good. Once school starts I'll be able to dedicate more time to this project that is SO MUCH FUN!! But for now I wanted to share a few fun photos of a trip last weekend with my boys. It was me, my mother (68), my friend's mother (60), my friend's grandmother (85) and 5 teenaged boys in the Wyoming mountains for some fishing, hiking, canoeing and fun. All 5 teenagers stayed in The Goat! I bought a CA King size memory foam mattress on walmart.com and cut it to fit the bed over the cab. It is heavenly to sleep on and the foam cuts like butter with an electric bread knife. Then I made cushions for the dinette from a queen size foam mattress and a plywood platform. We piece the cushions together and put a fitted sheet over it and we have another queen sized bed. Worked like a dream!! Interior pics to come as I get a little more accomplished. Loving this stuff called Penofin (Gold label penetrating oil) for refinishing my cabinets. It penetrates previous finishes!!! Amazing stuff. No need to strip. The wood looks amazing! Back again soon! Hope you've all had some great Avion TC adventures this summer!! ![]() Deb http://s65.photobucket.com/user/saddleridge1/media/20140805_163040_zpse7a71fad.jpg.html?sort=3&o=5 http://s65.photobucket.com/user/saddleridge1/media/20140805_174937_zpseb5d0302.jpg.html?sort=3&o=3 This is me taking the canoe off the top. ![]() http://s65.photobucket.com/user/saddleridge1/media/20140805_180256_zps56537e52.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2 http://s65.photobucket.com/user/saddleridge1/media/20140805_180613_zps700f7c3e.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1 Great spot!! http://s65.photobucket.com/user/saddleridge1/media/20140806_201337_zps417a5ade.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 |

Yeah, I appreciate you guys and I wish that the Forum had been identified. I specifically mentioned it, but I think TCM has a policy of not identifying other online venues. Don't know why, but its not my magazine, so that's the way it is. I enjoyed the process with Gordon and Angela White. They are excellent at what they do. Now, ever onward Avionistas!

Howdy! Wyo you really must show us those steps in making cushions; I believe it would be a first. I know I would like to see exactly how you did it. I need to do it. 67 I felt like you did mention all of us, I knew who you were talking about, besides just google IMAGES Avion camper whatever and you will see yourselves. I think it is safe to say we have a fan club out there! Oh yea, only special people get to see my bathroom! D1 where are those pictures? I know we are all dying to see the progress. |

Hey Garry, looks like something we should all do. An Avion rally by the lake. I haven't seen the railing on the roof before. When did you do that? How's it working?

Those are Wyocuttergirl's pics. I just fixed the pic links for her. But I am wanting a closer look at that rack too! I think something like that would work well for solar and a canoe! Garry |

Dog gone it, I got you crossed up. It looked like your outfit, but I was puzzling over the truck and the roof rack. Sorry about that.

I have found similar moldings online but not exactly the same. The reason I need some more of the j molding is because I cut the main interior wall panels in the front and rear to be able to remove them without taking out every interior sheet. Additionally, The piece on the ceiling and the main ones on the walls are so big that it looked like it might be a real pain to take them off in one piece. Ticki, to get the end caps off you either have to take off all the interior panels or cut them like I did. The caps are under the ceiling and wall panels and have another inner aluminum piece that they are riveted to as well. It took me almost an hour to find this old post again , we really need a geek to index this thread . Avion C-11 ,or anyone else , where did you find the J edging for the interior panels ?
