Howdy!
Thanks D that helps.
D1 what is the outside bottom of your tub made of? I am considering quarter inch aluminum
plate unsupported or skin it and build a frame to support the tanks.

Hello everyone!
I have some good news and some not so good news. Good news is, I did some bartering to get my newly designed jack mounts made. Last I heard, the metal was cut and awaiting welding.
The not-so-good news is that my plans for full-timing have been shot down, for now. Along with that, my truck had some issues which have taken a little bit of time for me to repair.
The one admissions rep in charge of the program I was wanting to attend started ignoring my e-mails and phone calls, so I was unable to get enrolled. Which means, it's time to get my resume out and about and hope I can land a job. If I can land the job I'm hoping to get, I'll be able to fund the build a lot quicker.
Oh how life can change so quickly.

CajunAvion, I apologize for the slow reply to your question about the fiberglass bustle in my C11. The PO had taken all tankage out of the bustle but not all the plumbing and valves. The two big cutouts in the bottom of the bustle were covered with thin aluminum sheet - no more than 1/8" max. It was barely adequate to provide some limited storage thru the small side hatch. Fasteners corroded, silicone caulk everywhere...you get the picture. When I get to my laptop, I'll post some pics of the before and after. As I'm not having any black water tank, just gray, I've created a glassed-in space as tank on the right side that will drain thru a hose bib set into the space where the drain handle used to live. The rest of the bustle will be waterproof and dust proof storage, accessed thru an enlarged hatch on the left side.
Pics to follow.

I am in touch with Chuck at Cayo about fabricating the panels for my damaged coach. I'll go through the repair step by step. Right now we're tied up in mid-summer construction and repairs to housing. But, I hope to get to it in August in time for a trip to the Bitterroot Mountains in Idaho - or maybe somewhere else. I need another trip. Don't we all?
Here's the project:

Howdy!
67 so sorry, I saw your Kerrville video, what are the
hooks on the side your camper attached to
structually; I take it you set your outside canopy
with those?
Maiden Voyage has been accomplished. Went to Dale
Hollow Lake, Tenn. Vents leaked during hailstorm.
Ceiling seemed terribly hot. Held together well. You would
not believe the excitment the ol girl caused. People wanted
pictures taken with her. Isnt that an Airstream? More than one wanted to know
how to get one. I am feeling so sorry for everyone without
an Avion Truck Camper!

Hi Cajun. Did you give them a tour of the bathroom? :-)
The reaction you got from people is exactly what I have experienced...and its true of all the Avionistas. I see you're using a Little Giant step ladder. I have one of those, but I had a hard time packing it so I went to the scissor steps. And I agree with you that its sad there aren't more folks with Avions. heh.
The "hooks" are stainless steel and are fastened to the ribbing at the corner joints. I'll put up a pix if you like.

INTERIOR WALL PANEL REPLACEMENT QUESTION...
I am wondering if any of you have removed some or all of your interior aluminum skin panels and replaced them with new panels using the original panel as a pattern for size, shape and hole pattern?
If so, could you comment on the process - difficulties encountered, lessons learned, problems solved? Specialized tools? Words to the wise? Etc, etc, etc...
Avionistas Forever!

The new jack mounts have been made!

Used 1/4" steel plate like the originals. The vertical face is the same size and the width stayed the same. I only had lengthened the mount to clear my dually fenders.
Best part is, I traded an empty computer case I bought a couple years ago and never used for the material/work. I provided measurements and a cardboard template. If all goes as planned, wing wood repair should be this weekend.
