Howdy!
Michael Im intrigued by your modular design
reference. What do have in mind? Possible layouts,
plans, or just napkin thoughts?

Well, my thought is to build everything in modules, so that it can be removed by undoing not more that 4 -6 screws and check for any problems behind.
We used to own an 24 foot Argosy and learned that there is not such a thing as a watertight unit, while you think you got it under control for a while and everything is sealed ,next trip something shifted and you are back looking for it.
I will post pics by the end of this week from the first furniture build.- Bed extension and side steps leading up to the bed-
keep in mind that ours will be designed as a very open floor space with just the minimal cabinets possible.
will see how it turns out

As i am waiting for wires and electrical items to be ordered and arrive, i started and build the first set of "Furniture"
The Bed Extension will have drawers in the front and is able to flip up to allow access to the, soon to be there, battery compartment and seating area below.
The side "Steps" can function as seating/lounging and storage underneath, as well as an aide to get to the sleeping area.Still have to build the doors for it.
The Steps are build to be able to stand alone and can be easily removed, held in only by three screws.
Next on the list is the storage in the cab overhang. Big plans for this.......
Enjoy this unconventional build

That is a very neat bed extension idea. I can't wait to see it finished.

What will you do with the mattress when the bed extension is in the " up " position ?

If the mattress is cut or two piece, it can be moved on top the other, or fold with the support. I made my own mattress from 6" memory foam, and it works well in an Avion.

Michael I do see one problem with your
setup. I just can not seem to imagine
old men living in that!
Keep up the wonderful mods, I can not wait
for the next installment. You have me thinking
as well.
