I am using it everywhere that I can. It really helps. I have put it inside the cabinets. Under the mattress in the overhead bunk. Under the seats at the dinette, in just about any cabinet that I can, and then I will be putting it under the floor when I take the camper off the truck in the floor joist area, along with some blue styrofoam. It could be below zero when we go to Anchorage for Thanksgiving, so every little bit helps. Hope this is what you were looking for! Garry Garry K Wife + 4 kids Retired Military Family.... Well, I had to take a break from working on the camper today, because my truck was needed for it's other duties.... SnowPlow... We got 3-4 inches of heavy wet snow, and now it is raining. I didn't get pics before, since it was dark, but here is after I got the plow on the truck, after I "stowed-for-sea" in the camper, and plowed the driveway, and the neighbors. Last night though I glued up the rest of the grey water to the dumping valves. Still need to pull the camper off the truck and install and hookup the grey-water tank, so the PVC is just capped off for now. But the winds are supposed to kick up to 30-45 this evening with gust to 50-55. So taking the camper off the truck will have to wait... Tonight I will connect the wiring hopefully for the toilet, water pump and additional lighting... And then maybe I can do some more wood work for the closet and bathroom door, and cabinet doors... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It looks like the Avion goes to war. Who can believe that restoration goes on with 55MPH winds and snow? It reminds me of stories my father-in-law Bruce Roark told of his time on the USS Narwhal, SS-167 during the Pacific War. The Narwhal was launched in 1929 and was not exactly a modern sub. But, with a bit of grit and determination they made the old girl a formidable force with 15 war patrols.

Funny you bring up a Submarine story, since I retired from the USN Submarine service in 2007. 23 years of keeping old boats going then taking them to the shipyards to decommission them. There was only one submarine that was in service that I had served on still in commission when I retired, and it was the one I retired from. It is still going, but it is almost 20 years old. Here is the weekends forecast... Today...Mostly cloudy. Numerous rain and snow showers...especially along the west side of the island. Highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. West wind 25 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph. Tonight...Partly cloudy with scattered snow showers. Lows around 30. West wind 25 to 45 mph. Gusts to 60 mph in the evening. Sunday...Partly sunny with scattered snow showers. Highs in the upper 30s. West wind 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. Sunday Night...Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. lows in the upper 20s. West wind 15 to 30 mph. Guess I am not taking the camper off the truck yet... Garry in Kodiak, AK |

Nice work. Off topic question, what rims are you running on the Super Duty?

I don't think they make the rims anymore, but Centerline makes a similar rim. My winter ones are stock 16" F350 rims with 235x85x16 Goodyear WorkHorse Studded M&S. Hope that helps! Well, between running kids around in the wind, snow, rain, sleet, sun, lightning and thunder today, it has been a true Kodiak day.... "if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes, because it will change" I have got a little done on the camper. The "Electra Magic" toilet is working. All the lights are working. The dinette bunk functions now. The water pump will work, but I am leaving it all dry since it could be near zero while we are in Anchorage for Thanksgiving. I am currently building the bathroom door and framing in the closet. Next is getting temporary doors on the cabinets. Then hopefully gluing the flooring down... The new Converter/Charger has been working flawlessly, and I have room still for another group 27 Battery. Also built a 3/16 aluminum splash guard between the sink and the stove-cook-top. But just came in, because the camper was really rocking from the wind. Checked the NOAA website, and the winds are 23mph with gust at 52mph... Felt like I was back at sea vice on land! Garry |

Garry in WINDY Kodiak, AK Thank you, I guess I should have been more specific. I take it the rims on the truck with the snow plow are stock? Those are the ones that caught my eye. |
