Topic: Avion truck campers - Hundreds of photos

Posted By: Michael 111 on 05/17/14 05:36am

Alright ......I would like to post a bunch of pictures from my current de-construction of my Avion C11.....when I click on the photo tab it asks me to provide a URL for the photo[emoticon] .....clearly I am missing something ....any hints
I am hoping also to start a blog about this project

I am finding some interesting construction methods of this camper which could be of interest to the community

Cheers

Welcome Michael,

We're glad to have you on board. Currently two of us are located at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff, 69avion and me. So it's a little hard to post. I'm deputizing D1trout (who may be camping at Lake Mead) or some one else to walk you through the picture posting. It's easy when you get it. I think there is a guide in the tech help at the top of this Forum page.

can you upload it to photo bucket then upload to here. That's what I do.

Or try this link.

Yea try the link above, you can only do one pic at a time but it walks you through it and its easy. I normally use photo bucket though.

Howdy!
D1 I have a couple of HepVos on hand. The original
plumbing, especially the shower sink seem
almost structual. Would you use one below the shower
pan? It seems you still need to vent the holding
tanks, I think Jammer said the air bubble.
The old plumbing starts looking better all
the time.
Does anyone know what should/could be
used to dampen the shower pan; mine did
have blue board glued to the back.

Has anyone had issues with their Thermopile on these furnaces?

I haven't though they do fail eventually. Replacements are readily available, and they're easy to install once you have the burner out.

Here is the Photo posting process as described to me by 67avion last fall. The only thing I do differently is that I first delete the pics I don't want to save from my iphone or camera, then I post everything else onto the Photobucket website. That gives me a place to store my pics without taxing my iphone or ipad storage capacity. From my stored pics on Photobucket, I can chose what I wish to upload to this forum. Photobucket allows me to size, edit, and post pictures easily

"Here is the way that I post photos using Photobucket. 1) Process the image for internet/web which is 72 dpi. That is, you take your picture and photoshop it for cropping, contrast, color etc. 2) If it is horizontal then make it 640 pixels, if vertical then 480 pixels. 3) Open up Photobucket and upload the pix that you want to put on the site. 4) Now go to the RV.Net site and open the comment box. Write your comments and where you want a photo to appear you first click on the photo in Photobucket in your "libary"....You'll see a little window below the photo on the right side. Click on that window and it will turn blue, the color of a Blue Norther... 5) Copy the photo by clicking on (Apple) Command C. That is the copy mode. 6) Now go to the RV.Net window where you are writing and put the cursor down a line or two and (Apple) Command V (Paste) 7) you will see the code immediately.... Note that the code appears to be duplicative. Let that not worry your soul or stop your progress. Now continue to write your narrative and upload photos and copy them to the window."

Good luck!
Dick
