I haul a lot more water than I carry in gray and black water capacity. I have approximately 20 gallons of gray and 20 gallons of black water capacity and 46 gallons of drinking water in the camper with another 34 gallons underneath. In Arizona I like to have a lot of water.

Curious, what do you use to carry the extra water? I am considering using either a bladder in a compartment under our flatbed truck or perhaps using those square blue 7 gallon water containers that they sell for $15 at Cabelas. We have a 37 gallon tank but I want to carry about 100 gallons of water for extended desert stays.

I put my Avion on a trailer and I built a platform for the water tanks and gas tank under the trailer. I have room for 20-30 more gallons, but so far I haven't needed it.

Nice setup 69Avion.

Look at all those lovely Sharkbite fittings. I just finished plumbing my water system with those....expensive but very nice.

Well, Friday night I hooked up the trailer, loaded 4kids plus gear, and drove out the road to our favorite camping beach. Snow, ice, and wind going out. Wind stopped at midnight. Waves crashed all night. Morning was this!!!

Garry, looks like a great time. We are just getting the camper ready for the road. Discovered yesterday that two couplers connecting the new Pex and the old copper water lines separated over winter. And they are in a bad, bad place to work on. So. We've had a very hard winter, and I sort of thought that I might have issues with freezing even with the anti freeze in the lines.

This Friday we are putting in the solar. I'll post photos.

Tonight we are expecting more cold and perhaps snow. I can't get two days in a row it seems.

Yeah, it is that time of the year when we are in the Freeze-Thaw-Freeze routine. We came home Saturday evening, and emptied most of the stuff out of the camper. I even plugged it in. But forgot to put the electric heater back in it till I woke up at 7 am, checked the weather and it was 22 degrees F and it had already dropped to 20F earlier.... Ran out, and put the heater in, and lit the Wave-3. Warmed the Avion up to about 75F for most of the day. Will check on leaks later this week. today it was up to 43F, but later in the week we are supposed to dip back into the 20's.... Spring fever is here...

That is what it is all about Garry - I think that picture sums up why we do this.

I love what you did with that trailer Dave. And I remember the grill at the front you did breakfast on - wonderful stuff.

Steve.
