I'm all over the board ! For those of you that have added a grey water tank what size did you go with ? I'm thinking of adding one next to the black water tank and maybe 15-18 gallons ? Did you go custom aluminum or over the counter ABS ? I'm thinking a fairly long tank but narrow to fit within the confines of the bottom enclosure.

Mine is on page 54 an d 55. As I recall, it is close to 20 gallons. I couldn't find a tank that fit my needs, but since then I have seen someone use an ABS tank that looked really good. I reinforced my floor from above with angle iron in place of the wood blocks that held the bottom of the closet to the floor. I then used 1/4-20 stainless steel bolts through the angle iron to hold the stainless steel gray water tank securely to the bottom of the floor. Since the floor is only 3/8" plywood sandwiched around Styrofoam I wanted to make sure that the tank wouldn't go anywhere. I eventually designed the stainless steel replacement black water tank also. It is now about 20 gallons as well.

There is a 68 Avion for sale on CL in Warren RI (Craigslist RI). Only one pic of the right side. Has not been polished. It was posted today. I don't know the owner but figured I'd post in case anyone is inspired by this thread.

That looks like a C-10. I thought the 1968 models were C-11s.

Does anyone sell the aluminum roof vent covers besides Cayo ? One of my roof vents has the original aluminum cover the other had a plastic one which has disintegrated due to sun exposure. I would prefer to replace with an aluminum cover. To be clear these are the covers you raise/lower to vent. I have already installed the exterior roof vent covers that shield the vents when open from rain. I have no problem calling/purchasing from Cayo if still available but was curious if anyone else might have. Unless someone on here has a used one they want to get rid of ? Thanks

Howdy!
Those aluminum vent covers are real antiques.
I would suggest Ebay look for Hehr vent cover.

Nobody makes the original Hammond aluminum covers. I bought a fiberglass replacement from Cayo.

WARNING Keep the hardware to your old plastic piece of junk. You will need those two straps, and connecting plates to re-rivet to the new cover. That broken plastic cover caused a lot of interior cabinet damage to my camper as it sat since around the mid 1980s. I should have checked the camper more than every decade or so. I remember in the 1980s you could go to almost any RV dealer and buy those covers in plastic or aluminum. Not anymore.

If I have to I'll make one I really don't want any plastic although with the exterior vent cover it would be shielded from UV. And yes I kept all the hardware installed on the screw drive.

I have the complete vent assembly from mine that you can have.
Cover the shipping and it's yours.
I'll get a pic posted tomorrow.

If the pic is a cover in good shape I will take it. Figure shipping to Marietta GA. 30008. I don't do paypal would send a check if that's OK. You can wait for it to clear before shipment. Thank you
