Dodgeavion, very cool project! It's amazing the work that goes on in this thread.

Happy Camping!

I don't know if its possible on this thread to list parts available. I know that I have quite a few things such as a fridge and stove... (I don't recall what I did with the propane bottles)...that I would give away. I'll check with the Mod at some point about what is acceptable. My thinking is that it would be a very good thing to have a listing that is dealt with offsite, but referred to onsite. But, it may be that it would veer too quickly into a buy/sell/trade thing that is not appropriate.

Anybody have any ideas?

If you stumble across the propane bottles I would be interested. The closest I have found that will fit the OEM propane box is a horizontal 20 pound bottle. I may go this route as it will leave some room in the box to carry a garden hose or similar.

Ribs according to my somewhat suspect memory are a C channel 1.5" deep x .75" wide of .090 material.

As I disassemble my Avion - water, water everywhere, but that's another story - I wonder if anyone has installed a demand water heater like the Eccotemp L10 on the wall in the bathroom? I am thinking that it might be able to be set into the wall, perhaps taking the place of the medicine cabinet. Plumbed for the bath, the galley sink, and to an outside shower mounted in the former water heater compartment, which might at the same time either be reduced in size or used for additional storage. They are good for low pressure applications and require on a couple of D cells to power the ignighter.
Your thoughts?
I'm hoping to meet with a talented metal fabricator tomorrow to discuss the all aluminum tub. I will keep you posted.

It sounds like a really good idea. Off hand, I don't know how the plumbing could be retrofitted for this application in the bath area. But if you are building new that is not an issue. However, it might be possible to fit it into the space where the existing hot water heater is located.

I have one of the Camp Chef versions that I use for an outside shower. It works great, but I am not familiar with ones that were made for indoor use. I kept my water heater since it gives me 6 more gallons of water in a space that would be otherwise unusable.

Today I scored a Dometic absorption fridge and a Coleman Mach 3 roof AC for 650.00 cash out the door. Both gently used and both were demonstrated to me and work fine. So two more items checked off the restoration purchase list.

You did well for that price. Those are two of the more expensive items.

I'm all over the board ! For those of you that have added a grey water tank what size did you go with ? I'm thinking of adding one next to the black water tank and maybe 15-18 gallons ? Did you go custom aluminum or over the counter ABS ? I'm thinking a fairly long tank but narrow to fit within the confines of the bottom enclosure.

You are all over the board! That's good.

Take a look at the gray water tanks that we fabricated; its on the string. There is some discussion about the ideas as well. Also 69Avion posted one of his typically beautiful solutions with stainless steel (If I remember correctly.
