It’s hard to tell from photos but if the wings and floor are solid I would say that is a very good buy for anyone interested .

Off-Grid apparently! Hopefully this is the case.

We’ve done a bit of traveling this summer with our a Avion, camping in New York, Ohio, and Michigan.

Rastaman, we're here. Just busted and bruised. Had an accident on my electric bike and took a real header. We're also busy with our businesses.

Another story of the unsinkable 67Avion.

We parked it at our daughters house across town, left a window open, hooked up electric, turned on a fan and covered the camper carefully. Several months ago we opened up the camper. Looking inside I saw that the ceiling was stretched downward. I went up on a ladder and the solar panel was smashed and the top was deeply dented by a large limb.

We went to our local camper repair. "no way" he said. I went to my local genius auto repair shop. One look. "No way" he said. So, of course we drove up to Watervliet and Cayo. Chuck Cayo took one look and he said, "no problem". But actually there was a problem. His difficulty in getting employees with the right skill set and the supply chain have pushed his estimated repair into the Fall.

But, you know what , Rasta? That 55 year old aluminum camper will be as good as new when Chuck finishes it. Better, actually, since we'll upgrade the solar and replace some windows.

Imagine the latest 2022 TC in the 2080s. Heh. They won't ever make therm like the old Avion again. And I think my Avion, in the right hands could live to hit a hundred.

It takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Still in rebuild limbo sadly.
Replaced all the wood in my 69 C11 two years ago now but I've been dragging ass on getting any sort of replacement rubber on my windows. Door needs a rebuild, all the electric, water, gas and drains plus my tanks then interior spray foam...
I do have most of what I need except the time and money lol!

Ah GREAT...there are still a few of us hanging around in here..

67Avion...So sorry to hear about the damage your unsinkable Avion had. It has certainly taken a licking, but as you said it will be back.
67avion 2.0 ...or is it . 3.0 or 4.0 [emoticon]

I am embarrassed to admit in public that still after 7 years of ownership we have only ventured out once for an overnight trip with our Avion C10 [emoticon]
But to my defence 2-3 of those years were spent doing the rebuild.

This year was going to be the year that the maiden voyage was supposed to take place, however with the gas prices, plus the fact that I went out to Terlingua, Texas and retrieved the 1974 Terry Taurus 19' Travel Trailer that we have owned for the past 19 years, that was sitting on our property out in the desert, (under cover) and brought it back to Florida, (as we are thinking of selling the property).

I spent January- June doing exterior repairs and minor interior stuff along with updating electric and plumbing, then threw on a coat of fresh paint...Looks awesome now.

However...That has created a huge problem. We are planning an extended trip early next year for a couple of months. Hence the problem....which camper do we take? The larger more comfortable Taurus, or the more compact Avion? (on the Trailer, which allows me to take the motorcycle to explore remote areas, plus I still don't have a truck that can carry the Avion). I feel like I am cheating on the C10 with the TT...ah well.

Options, Options....

Keep Inspired
