Sunny but cool day. Czarny is asleep in his bed on the cocktail table. Rudy is in our bed, under the covers.
Yesterday was interesting Seems someone decided to pee in the kitty beds on the love seat. So I had to saturate the love seat with Wee Cleaner, then the kitty beds, and now the beds are in the washing machine.
We know Rudy's picky about litter boxes, and Czarny doesn't seem to be, which is why I think Rudy is the guilty party. I guess it's time to give the Litter Robot a thorough cleaning.
The barn swallows have arrived, and both cats are running themselves ragged, going from window to window and chittering at them.
Speaking of kitty beds, time to get them into the sun to dry. Later, y'all.

Yup those new deodorizers for pet urine are great for stopping the repeat markings. It just has to be consistent.

Unfortunately, it appears Wee Cleaner has gone out of business. Pity. But we found an article about the best enzyme cleaners for 2019, and I'll try one of those.
The kitty beds still smell. More cleaner needed, so off to the pet store. Later, y'all.

I found a good one in Walmart called Out. It's in the pet section near the pet shampoo and comes in economy sizes.

Took Mom to the DMV yesterday, where she surrendered her driver's license and got an ID card. Finally realized that at 94 she did not need a DL. Whew.
Have had a couple nights of not being able to sleep, so I wound up in my recliner with an afghan. Tossed the afghan on the rocking chair, and now the cats are squabbling over who gets to sleep on the afghan in the rocking chair. These guys are just too funny.
Early this morning, both cats sprang off the bed and banged up against the sliding door. I quickly looked to see what had them so excited, but it was out of sight already. I'm guessing it was one of the two very healthy foxes that live around here.
Bluebonnets are past prime and starting to seed out. The yellow, red and purple wildflowers are just getting started. I expect our meadow to break out in a solid yellow block within a couple weeks.
But one guy's meadow has looked like this for several weeks:

The little patches of light blue are bluebonnets.

Sigh. Wish we could get the reds and the bluebonnets to take root in our meadow.

They might eventually. Wildflowers are just that - wild and unpredictable. Nice photos! How about a photo of that Griswold now.

My "new" cast iron dutch oven, a 1920s Griswold Tite-Top. Six quarts. Smooth as glass, lid's tight, totally flat bottom -- happy sigh.

It rained!! We got 1.13" today, enough to fill the pool to the top and thoroughly water everything else.
With all the thunder and lightning, Czarny and Rudy completely ignored it. Didn't bother them at all.
Now the air is clear and fresh, the sunlight makes everything all sparkly, and it's absolutely gorgeous out there. The little purple wildflowers are busting out, and the meadow should be a sea of yellow very soon.
Too soon for fawns yet.
