I just happen to have a cabinet they all fit in and an Interstate battery store that sell refurbs for $99 . They call them econo power and come with a 12 month warrany. The first one is over a year old and going strong. I bought the solar panel and controller off craigslist. The panel was $175 and the controller was $29. The controller has circuitry that does not allow over charging (green light blinks) . Tell you when charging (solid green) . Warns of low voltage (red light) . After running the freezer all night I got no red light at 5:45 am so it 's looking good so far. I think tonight I will go really bold and also run a fan all night with the fridge. Don 't even think about trying to stop me. I 'm like a crazy man here. I also think I may be able to add 2 more batteries in the cupboard bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!

If you are so desperate for work you can upgrade my battery system. I have simply been trying to at least fit 2 6V gel batteries where the one 12v hides. I guess solar panel is next. Still, I have been considering selling my 06 and getting a new or 1 year old Sprinter with bigger fridge and better battery system. I would like to stay with a diesel rig and one not over 22 ft or so.

I've been busy stocking our new Roadtrek 190 with various necessities. Today, I focused on storage. The RT has quite a bit of space, but like other Class B's, much of it is in small nooks, crannies & cabinets. Large items, such as suitcases, are pretty much limited to under the electric sofa, which probably allows for 2 medium size suitcases, as well as a few other things.

Along with the wardrobe, that's enough for me, but might be a bit tight for the DW. So we ordered some of those packing cubes designed for organizing suitcases. The medium size fits in the large rear cabinets that flank the AC, and the large size fits in the wardrobe. We bought the eCube brand via Amazon (free shipping, too!) but there are others. The packing cubes arrived today and all dimensions were as advertised. Problem solved.

Fastpaddler. I don 't consider what I have done as work, just puttering. I haven 't been to your enchanted isle since 2001. That would be a great place to cruise around in a B.

Watched our brand new, 2013 RS Adventurous, which we just picked up 42 hours before, being towed away. We were just leaving for a trip and drove less then 20 miles when the engine light came on. So glad we were close to home.

You and all on RV.Net are always welcome on friendly Vancouver Island. We have lots of RV resorts, parks and outoftheway places to boondock. We feel safe on the Island too. Just returned from 10 days at Salmon Point RV Resort, Campbell River(world famous for salmon fishing). I was busy writing my life history(chap 15) and wife makes clothes for overseas kids and for here too. Today, cleaned RV and readied it for next trip, shortly. Dont boondock much so can live with the one battery--until we replace it with GWV,Leisure TV or another PW Plateau.
