Topic: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

Posted By: charles on 10/02/12 05:01pm

Fresh water was getting a bit smelly so I drained it, refilled along with a half cup of bleach, ran it through all the lines and will keep it in there a few days before draining and refilling again.

DUH-I have been sitting here and reading the forums and reading the winterizing threads when I remembered I had not drained my tanks yet and it has been 20 to 25 degrees the last 4 nights! Im on it and no damage done I love how my B is insulated really well

I installed two house batteries yesterday. The old ones lasted 6-1/2 years.
Ran my generator for 1/2 hour.
Wash and wax Monday.

EDIT Monday. Just got it washed today. I realized I have some caulking to do before waxing.

Took it to nearby Pit Stop and had a full tune-up. Points, plugs, plug wires, rotor, distributor cap, condenser, coil, and fuel injection service.

With 106,000 miles on it, it was time.

Now it's ready for my next big trip.

Since the weather forecast was for a possibility of freezing temperatures overnight, we winterized the Roadtrek. With the winterizing valve, the entire process takes about half an hour, and uses roughly 3/4 container of the "pink stuff".

Winterized it and put the cover over it early for the winter in case we get a lot of wind and rain next week here in NY.

Filled her up today and get ready for a week of beautiful weather in Eastern Oklahoma (Quachita NF) and NW Arkansas (Ozark NF). Lows in 40s, highs in 60s, clear. Put in new dual 6 volt batteries a couple of weeks ago, so ready for the boonies. Old ones lasted over six years.

Installed two towel racks that the factory forgot to install. Repaired front folding table that broke because the rivets were too light for the heavy table.
