We just measured 7" of new snow and it is still coming. Tomorrow I will take the leaf blower and blow the snow off the B. Works well if you get to it before it melts a bit and starts to crust up.

Davydd wrote: \![]() I took our new 2011 Great West Van Sprinter Legend on a test run of 360 miles round trip to La Crosse, WI Thursday and back today. My first impression compared to our 2005 Sprinter Pleasure-Way is the ride is much smoother and quieter. At highway speeds it feels more auto like and you don't feel like you are pushing the limits at 70 mph on the freeway. In other words it is also like an auto where you don't perceive going as fast as you are going. Handling is very positive. The steering wheel is less van like and more auto like yet you still sit very upright and high. There is no diesel rattling sound on acceleration like the old Sprinter. In quieter you can actually listen to your radio without having to turn it up. The stock radio and speakers are probably better quality. I think the overall MPG is going to be in the 3-4 MPG less. With a new engine starting out at 140 miles total I averaged about 18 MPG vs. my old 22.5 MPG. If history repeats with break in it will probably push 20 MPG. All in all I am very happy with it. Just have to remember it is not a coupe and I am still pushing 4 tons of 22'-9" down the highway. ![]() On your first outing did you also sleep in it? Or just take it for a nice ride? Drove for 2 hours to CT Foxwoods Resort and Casino in our RT. We ran the genny & furnace a few times to keep the "LandYacht" warm. All systems worked fine. This trip allowed me to refresh the gas and give the batteries a good charge after hibernation of winter for the RT. We won enough cash to buy a fancy dinner, breakfast buffet in the morning and a refill of the fuel tank. (We never win so this is unusual). ![]() There were quite a few other RV's at the designated parking area at the resort. ![]() 2015 Class B Roadtrek Zion |

Maybe add another battery or two to the house system. 2012 GMC 3500HD Crew Cab LB 4x4 DRW with Duramax 6.6 diesel 2013 Palomino Maverick 2902. Been home a week from a trip to Death Valley and the Mojave Desert and finally started cleaning the van. A lot of wind and a lot of sand. Took out the screens and curtains on the windows that open so I could get all the sand out. Got the bedding all cleaned (our's and the dog's) and the van vacuumed. The wind was blowing sand everywhere, so even though I changed the oil and filter in the van and gen before we went I am going to do it again this weekend. And clean and reoil the air filter. (Might not need it but I will feel better if I do it.) |

Picked up our "Roada" after having the hood repainted from chipping paint. The place that did the work, took care of the "little" fixes. In a few weeks, we'll be taking her back to get detailed for our trip to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon and everything in between.

Changed oil in the Genny. I change it once a year, in March. The oil coming out was still clean looking. Since I don't put an excessive number of hours on it in a year's time, and since I change it once a year, I just use SuperTech (Walmart) HD30 weight oil.
