Replaced the rear door hinge pins and bushings. Took out the front carpet and installed a new one. Replaced the instant hot water dispenser also. Now we just have to wash Vanna and give her a good wax job.

Rotated the tires, checked the brakes, checked the lights, checked the front and rear suspension to get it ready for upcoming State Inspection. Oh yea, also lubed all the fittings. Should be ready to go, all I have to do now is make an appointment with the inspection station before the end of May..

Got new LED Light Bulbs and replaced the old bulbs- big difference in battery drain and acceptable light, a little blue though. I may buy some warmer color temp ones later for the main light.

This week I had my House battery changed. Still trying to figure out what it means in ability to boondocks and what things use what electricity. New learning experience every time I update my Roadtrek.

Will not get out with it for a couple of weeks when I will do a three to five day solo run. That is when I will get everything working, and understand how everything works.

I don't know about you, but being engineering minded, owning something like a Roadtrek is both interesting and fun.

Happy RVing,

Heapie

Just returned from a 150 mile weekend trip to Va. 2nd trip this summer. I am hoping for many many more!

Been waiting for days and days to be able to report this - got new Fantastic Fan installation completed; including wiring, topside attachment AND sealant applied, and interior trim attached. Pins in place for use of vent/fan rain cover, when desired. Fresh air is essential to camping, that's all I can say about that.

Also, completed new black water drain valve replacement. You know that you like your RV when a day dealing with replacement of an aged and used sewage drain is a great day!

Started out on a trip and remembered that I had not verified that the technician who rotated the tires had remembered to adjust the tire pressure. He had adjusted; however, he used the standard cargo sprinter van numbers and not the correct pressure for the Winnebago ERA. Both were too high. It would be nice some day to have work done correctly the first time.

Took it out for a cruise yesterday for some exercise. I had a new air conditioner compressor installed 2 1/2 years ago and is not cooling now. How could it need recharged with a new compressor?

Today I started cleaning the carpet glue off of the van's doghouse (took carpet off yesterday...sadly, vinegar doesn't work as well as claimed for this :-(

Also, my polish I ordered was delivered- Flitz Metal & Fiberglass Polish- so I polished half the van and it is amazing how the paint and shine came back!!! Very pleased, I will post some pics on my DIY thread soon!

I sewed some neodymium "super magnets" onto our front window cover. When the cover is flipped upside down, the shape is a perfect fit for the rear windows of our Sprinter. The magnets allow it to be put on the outside of the rear. Yeah for Class B's and their metal bodies!
