Topic: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

Drained and flushed the black and grey tanks for the first time. Test filled the freshwater tank for first time. Removed back seats to test for cargo carrying storage improvement, and study infrastructure layout below seats (new to us 1996 Chevy van Coachmen). Pinched finger in seat folding mechanism and cursed. Further tested water heater, water pump, refrigerator 12v. Started to test Saturday's van a/c freon recharge, but chased inside by thunderstorms. Started to load for Allentown paper show, the van's first working trip. Measured and sized up the steps needed to install new fan-tastic fan vent, but did not proceed because need to be ready for trip, will wait for a week before installation.

Took her for a ride. Not going to change the hot water heater bypass. Just don't have the time. Going to get her ready to roll.

Drove her to work and plugged her in. Batteries are ready for this weekend. Took pics of the clothes in the GF's "closet" and texted them to her so she knows what she needs to bring this weekend for camping in the Sierras.

Yesterday, I add some eternabond to my roof vent that has a crack in it. Just a quick fix until it is replaced. Also added eternabond to a couple of crack lines on the fiber glass roof. They are probably cosmetic but wanted to be sure to prevent leaks in the future.

Need to refill propane as I'm going to go to PA Saturday for wild turkey hunting with my brother. Not much else to get ready as I've already spent 46 days living in it this year.

Today I cleaned out the remnants of our trip to NY last week. Snowed for 2 days going through Vermont and into NY. Visited Cooperstown again and the Saranac Brewery tour in Utica. Dry camped above Bolton Landing near Hague.

I took it to Mercedes dealer for oil/filter and checkup. They scrubbed it nicely and the winter grunge is now gone. My PW TS has been really excellent and trouble free but I do baby it too. Next rv is an LTV Unity TB,

We dewinterized the water system, sanitized the water tank, and installed the storage box on the back. We got it back earlier in the week from a through mechanical check for the upcoming camping season.

Today was explore the water system on my 77 Dodge conversion. The plan was to add a small amount of bleach and fill my 15 Gallon tank, let it sit for 4 hours and flush. Filling the tank went smoothly [image]

I pulled the bed/couch apart to view the tank and check for leaks [image]

I turned on my Shurflo pump and it ran but no water got to the sink....
so I thought maybe the pump needed primed and pulled the faucet to try to pour down it to the pump [image]

I heard water coming out somewhere and looked into the cabinet below the sink and found the priming water pouring out sadly....[image][image]
Yeah that is not good....so I found a hose clamp and used my solar lantern for illumination and got my hands wedged in there to work [image]

Voila, repaired.....[image]

After fixing this I tried priming but water wouldn't go down to the pump so I added more water at the hose to try to put a mild amount of pressure to move the water forcibly to the pump and that worked! Good flow! Flushed the bleach out and put about 11 gallons or so in and all good.

Unloaded several hundred pounds of old postcards and books from the van, from an antique paper show last weekend (it's a part-time working van). Re-installed back seat, and decided it is too much trouble to remove back seats from this point forward (goal of removal had been to get more cargo space). Started on the drain valve replacement for the black water tank, but will need to finish another evening; bolts very rusted and frozen. New cap installed for grey water drain. Gather tools and parts for vent fan replacement, just can't find the full amount of time to get this done, but satisfying to get everything lined up for the final job.
