Today I took our Class B Winnebago ERA to Camping World in Chichester NH for the free Good Sam's 22 point inspection. I couldn't find any info in advance on exactly what was covered so I'm including it here in case anyone else wants to take advantage of the service. They check lights, belts, hoses, seals, and tire pressure. The timing of the appointment was ironic - last night as we returned home from a trip we found that neither headlamp was operational and the dashboard lightbulb display indicator was on. We traveled on our high beams. I didn't mention the problem to the service writer at CW as I was curious as to the quality of the 'free' service. Guess what? The ERA passed with flying colors. The tech didn't notice the display indicator nor that neither headlamp lit. The service manager was apologetic when it was brought to his attention and promptly took the initiative to replace the bulbs at no charge. The 'free' service and free bulbs took 3 1/2 hours (2 hours to get the bulbs and install them). The service mgr had no response to my inquiry as to what level of service I could expect was used to do the remaining 20 points of the inspection.

Friday, I gave it a good wash and filled up the tank. Saturday, I drove the B to Circleville, Ohio (60 miles) and plugged in at my sisters house to stay over night. (Attended the Pumpkin Show)

Went for a four-day camp 15 NOV in 20F and forgot a few soft side package food items in the overhead slider storage. ![]() Now on a small critter hunt and purge ![]() Then a complete wipe down and washing of the bedding. Lesson learned * This post was edited 02/22/15 07:43am by Metaphor 7182 * |

Just changed the Stay-dry container and did a visual check of the interior and exterior. It has been sitting for a week since we came back from Busch Gardens where we enjoyed all the Christmas decorations. Thinking of putting our class B up for sale next month and not too sure that is what we will do since we love it and it is in such excellent shape. We have replaced the dvd player with a blue-ray, added a rear camera that shows in our RV GPS, new tires, new LP detector, (replace avery 5 years according to specs.) added a Versa-Haul and a Kymco Scooter. Such a difficult decision. New Year, New unit. Maybe. See next year what it will bring.

We figured out that some brand new Coleman chairs-in-a-bag we bought at Camping World *WILL* fit under the bed, even though they're substantially taller than the super-uncomfortable and heavier ARCO freebies we practically had to tip ourselves over in to get out of.

Pam thought it would be appropriate that we have a blessing for our new home on wheels. Rev. Mariana Gronick from St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan did the honors. Several neighbors and parishioners participated. Mike RV = 2014 MB Sprinter 3500 long & tall from Advanced RV |
