Topic: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

Posted By: csw5925 on 03/04/14 07:32pm

Took it up to see the Sprinter mechanic early Saturday morning, stopped by my local camper dealer for an LP refill, then cleaned until I wore out.

Wonder if the foil trick would keep out ladybugs??? They don't bother me much, but first few trips in spring I leave a trail of ladybugs as I shoo them out the window.

I drove over to the local field and ran my generator for the monthly 2 hour load run to keep it fit and operating in top shape. Ran the A/C, Tv, frig. and blue ray while I checked out all the systems. Everything ran great and we are waiting for our next trip. So sorry to hear about the snow issues up north. Lived there, Ohio, for 57 years and worked outside for many of those years. Excuse me for a moment I have to go and shovel some sunshine off my class "B".....LOL. Keep smiling and "B" safe, "B" happy and go "B" Rving.

I had rented a storage unit with a tall enough door and deep enough for 22 feet of Road Trek (barely)last October and what with out of town issues and business trips to Florida, Atlanta and Omaha (4 weeks!) then Michigan for a long Christmas visit, I finally went over to the unit, raised the door and cranked up the big 454 V8! It came right to life too!
I had gotten the big monster last year and after fighting the shipping battles it finally showed up in June. I had removed and reinstalled one roof window that had been allowed to leak & spoil the finish on some wood work, changed out a rusted out rear door and started pulling all the trim and .... well EVERYTHING out of the back end to allow for rusty quarter panels to be cut out and replaced with new metal.
Looking forward to getting all that done, painted, re-upholstered and on the road by fall!
Prayers are welcome since God takes care of fools and children.... and I appear to be "all growed up!"

Last week, I trickle charged the motor battery for 24 hours and it cranked right up. I drove it to my girlfriend's house and back to my house on Saturday. That is about a 34 mile round trip. Via the weather, we have not dated long enough to camp in my B van yet. [emoticon]

De-winterize?? Are you ever optimistic Bob. Our temperatures are still below freezing. You expecting an early spring?? Or heading south? [emoticon]

[emoticon] ... It just dawned on me that you are heading south after seeing another post on a FB page. Enjoy the warmer weather and the historic sites ... and the breweries. [emoticon]

Delivered my Roadtrek to PPL consignment in Houston on Tuesday and had an offer by Wednesday afternoon, which was a little below the price we were asking. Turned it down because the unit should bring a better price than the offer. Still, an offer in less than 24 hours is not the worst thing in the world. We are going to find out what a 2007 210P low mileage (in Excellent Condition according to both me and PPL's rating system) is really worth to a buyer.

Had a new set of Cooper tires (Made in the good old USofA) put on this morning. Wife and I used the van to haul riding mower to daughters on trailer. 26 years old and still handles, pulls and drives like a charm.
Oh, I put 4 OZ. of balancing beads in each tire. Smooth on the road although I dared only 65 MPH on the two lane with no oncoming traffic for a short distance. We plan on a shake down cruise for 2 days before venturing to Florida for a surf fishing trip. Need Pompano and Whiting for the Freezer.
