Topic: What Did You Do To Your Class B Today ?

Posted By: mepboat on 02/22/14 10:56am

Just got my coupons from my local Ford Dealer. I have a 2010 Pleasureway Excel with a V10 engine, 350 Ford chasis. Oil/Lube/Filter, full inspection, tire rotation, etc. for $39.99 and a rebate of $10.00. Just can't beat it for $29.99.

Absolutely nothing. I can't find it in the snow bank.

Just spent the better part of the day on the Sprinter roof with a roll of Eternabond. Now I need a big rainstorm to see if I have finally sealed all the leaks. I resealed the toilet vent, the roof vent and the refrigerator vent. The refrigerator vent was the hardest as the last screw on the cover was underneath the roof rack on my 2006/7 Airstrean Interstate. Poor engineering on the part of Thor. Two weeks from today we will be in Death Valley, so looking forward to traveling in the B instead of working on it! At least it was 70° outside. Glad to live in California!!!

Put a latch to keep the bathroom door open when parked off level. Put hook for broom and dust pan inside the bathroom door. Repaired the connection for the TV antenna. Made a support and holder for my water diffuser to make coffee in our electric coffee maker when there is no electricity when Boondocking. Works very well.

In preparation for a trip to Death Valley I attempted to fire up the propane hot water heater. Instead of the jet sound it makes when it is properly working it was quiet with a yellow sooty flame. After removing 7 screws I was able to access the propane feed tube which had a cobweb inside. A quick clean, reassembly and thankfully it is working perfectly again. Plus I did the job with just the small tool kit I keep in the B.

Hi Folks,

I took her for a fifty mile exercise. Everything worked very well. Mama fell asleep in the back. Went exploring in a Dell Webb development in Plymouth MA. Boy. these Roadtreks have a turning radius of about a half of a mile.

Alas, after seven and a half years of enjoyment, I spent a few hours getting the Roadtrek ready to sell. It has given us many hours and miles of great service.

Today, once again, I cleared more snow off my Class B. Enough is enough!

Sunday I exercised my RV.

Monday, I took out the manuals and started reviewing them. I am preparing a list of things to do and planning a few short solo trips to get more acquainted with my RV.

I plan to take a trip to the RV stores to shop the best prices of things that have to be fixed or finished. This is how I can get things done without interruptions.

Happy RVing.
